My friend(a chick) brought this up.

Claims that alot of her really hot friends wont date a guy thats on their level(say 8 or 9, whatever) because they NEED to have a guy that grovels over them. So they pretty much stick to dooshbags or less attractive men. Thought it was kind of interesting.

i like to have a hot guy but us women have our insecurities .i think if we r better looking or whatever,we would feel better about ourselves or not having to worry that every chick is eye ballin our man..lol

but it depends how confident the chick is.
if she loves herself then she would care if she is dating the best looking man in the world..its all about confidence

It is true in some cases, some women want men to worship the ground they walk on, some like to be ignored and not be the guys number one priority.There are so many type of women it is hard to generalize them all.

I think your friend is making generalisations.

No-one as yet has figured out how attraction works (if you read the threads it just confirms this). You're either attracted to someone or you're not. Sure you can say they have a hot body, or a nice face or a great personality but none of us really understands how it works.

It actually sounds pretty shallow to rate yourself and then decide what level of person you'd go out with. It also sounds calculating. Do people really think like this??

oh i totaly agree, this wasnt about succeeding or failing. hell its not even a "girl problem". its just a theory she dropped that i never thought about.

It is part of the game, they will say something now, and they will change their mind after a couple of minutes. The funny thing is that then you will do or not something, they will question why are you doing or not that, you tell them is because you said... they just changed their mind, so, listen, and enjoy the guessing game. That is what makes them interesting.

No matter how hot a woman is, she'll have insecurities. And having a really hot bf who gets hit on all the time makes some women worry that he'll find someone better easily enough. Even if a woman isn't insecure, she can become so from having a hot bf. A less attractive man doesn't cause those thoughts. It doesn't have to actually make sense to be true.

I think this very true, I always see that one of the persons is much better looking. It's because you have the control if one is uglier then the other

I think this is definitely true for some women, some women like to feel like they're the ****...so they need someone who is not quite on their level..intellectually, looks wise...whatev. I also know alot of girls who wont have pretty female friends, because they want all of the attention.

lol thats superlame though. hanging with ONLY ugly chicks screams insecurity. and plus a hot chick in a group of hot chicks will look far more impressive than 1 hot chick with a bunch of uglies.
