Update: My Unknown Shoulder Injury
Hi.
Made a few threads a few days to a week ago about my shoulder and whether it has a torn labrum or not.
I've tried to take a full week off (although every now and then I've been doing a few exercises to keep me going/I find it hard not to even with an injury).
Well anyway the possible injuries were
- Torn rotator cuff
- Impingement
- Torn Labrum
- Tendonitis
Almost taken a full week off now and basically all symptoms have gone but I just did a dumbbell press for a test and the pain came back slightly, but not as much as it did a week ago and this time only in one real place tbh. Now the pain has almost gone since my little test approx 10 mins ago.
I notice that if I rub my thumb across my left shoulder in a certain place I feel an achy sort of pain, see pic below for where i'm talking about (although in the pic its the guy's RIGHT shoulder).
Around that spot..
Any more thoughts on this? I might take another week off and force myself not to touch my weights at all and see if it completely goes, it's just that I keep getting the feeling it won't go away and skipping a week would be pointless.
Kthanks.

If I were you, I would definitely start some Broomstick stretches:

They do wonders for minor shoulder pain, at least in my experience.

Is anyone convinced it will go with adequate rest? Sorry I'm just worried.

The fact that you said yourself that the pain has started to go away and is more isolated than before seems to indicate that it will go away if you stay consistent with the stretches and everything. If it hadn't started feeling better at all, then I might wonder, but I think you will be fine. If you are really worried though, you can see a doctor.

Okay then. Do you know much about shoulder injuries etc? I'm just wondering whether it's typical for one to go away if it starts to and is more isolated.. I'm more convinced that it's just died down but will start to flare up again.
I'll see a doctor if it continues after a few weeks.
