just wondering
I've been reading through your blog/log and wonder what you think about a keto diet vs. a typical "clean" diet. I'm having a heck of a time staying on a clean eating diet plan and wonder if I would do better on keto. What are the pros cons. and if you dont' mind, what does a typical day (eats wise) look like for you?? Any info is GREATLY appreciated, I've been reading through the keto section all day and am more than confused with all the numbers, ratios, and mathy ****. I just want a plain jane honest answer Thanks!!

for ME,
clean diet = busting my ass, not tasting food, almost dreading eating, MASSIVE sweets/pizza/salt cravings, and hardly any results to show for it. maybe 5 pounds in the 6 months i just "ate clean."
keto = working hard, looovving food, being able to eat a little more calories, "normal" appetite with no cravings (except for peanut butter...) steady energy, and 9" lost in 2 months.
my food is posted on the first 2 pages or so of the log. i quit posting it every day cause i eat the same things.

Cube your sweet potato, drizzle olive oil on them to lightly coat them, little pepper, garlic powder, oven roast them....then some sugar free ketchup....this is the only way I tolerate them.

thank you, that's exactly what i wanted to see. now for the next questions (and yes, i read all the stickies and i can only nail one or two "rules" at a time...)
I am exercising 6-7 days a week (active recovery) with weights 4 days a week. I am not changing my calorie intake or macros on these days but just started noticing some people are, including you. Why? Should I be doing this?
Also, I generally workout mid-day and push my lunch to after the workout so I don't do a PWO drink or anything. Many of the keto guys are talking about this. Should I be doing it? I don't think you do. The stickies say not to have fat after the workout but since I'm following my exercise with a keto lunch, it's fat and protein.
Thanks again for the advice. Not sure if it's good or bad that you're the only girl who has a real grasp on this diet and the only one I can ask. Hope you like being the expert

you dont need to raise calories. i do it in hopes i will be able to gain some muscle and lose some fat simultaneously.
i do have a pwo shake. just whey and soy milk. i dont think its as important as people make it out to be. just get enough protein throughout the day, and you wont lose any muscle.
i dont mind. except when some of the guys on here are jerks about it for no reason. and even then, i dont really mind. just think its silly on their part!
and just be warned, this is the outcome of today:
so much for a food baby, im carrying food triplets
