Yea, I love seeing inspiring people at the gym. Just last week I saw this blind man working out with a trainer. It was really, really inspiring to me because here this guy is, he may never get to see what his body looks like, but he still works out just because he loves doing it. That really hit home for me. Made me think about how fortunate we really are.

I'll try to get a vid. It was so funny the first time I saw him... he works out with a couple younger guys (maybe mid 40's). They had just finished a set at 405 lbs, and walked out to get some water. I see this old guy come shuffling up in his flannel shirt and sweats. I thought "What's he thinking he's gonna do?"... he proceeded to rack pull that weight about a dozen times. Thats when they started adding weight.
I was speechless.

So anyways, I'm around my early 80's (seriously).
I was working sets of rack pulls, no straps...I think I had around 640lbs on the bar.
There was this kid there looking at me and he wanted to get footage of me because he wanted to "post it" next week. It was kind of inspiring.

I had squats to do the other day and there was a dude doing curls in the rack. I can't stand those people.

nah, that's guy is pretty built.
see, i don't understand the kids these days, it's gotta be the internet. what's so hard about asking the person how many more sets they have? or asking if you can use the rack for squats? or asking to work in?
maybe if you first ask for their phone number so you can text them so you don't actually have to confront them?

We are becoming more passive-aggressive, and not just the kids.
These days people are less likely to discuss a problem with an co-employee, for example. They'd much rather go to the boss behind their back and lodge a complaint.
Kids in high school that silently scorn classmates, until they don raincoats and firearms and shoot up their school.
People that sue other people for things that should fall under the "**** happens" category.
