Posts 2 and 3 covered it perfectly - whey protein right after for the depletion, then around 2 hours later a good protein source and a complex carb like sweet potato or fruit.... don't cut on a Keto type diet - just my opinion... it does more harm then good and in the long term is almost impossible to maintain - if you cutting for a specific day or week like a competition or for like a spring break thing and want something drastic and think Keto works then go for it - but a more rounded diet is much better - just my opinion.

I do a real meal post WO, so 3 eggbeaters with salsa and low sugar ketchup, and a bowl of Quaker weight control oatmeal.

it depends how i feel. if i'm super hungry, i'll just eat a solid meal with p/c/f
if not so hungry, liquid shake with milk, whey, fruits, oats, honey, cinnamon

i dont get home from the gym till around 1230am so i just have 2 scoops whey, 1c skim milk, 1 medium banana, and sometimes 1 tbs of nat pb or 1/4cups of oats if i need to make up some cals for the day. this works great for me since i cant eat a meal 2 hours after my workout.

It depends on the type of diet I'm doing. Last prep, I just had a protein shake PWO.

I'm surprised we haven't gotten one of your cookie-cutter bb.com responses "eat whatever you want as long as it fits into your macros" nonsense yet.

When cutting i usually eat all my carbs in only three of my seven meals, the three most important (breakfast, PWO, and the meal after PWO). PWO meal would be the same as bulking (2 scoops of whey and pasta) but when im cutting i simply eat less amounts of pasta, whatever fits into your macros that you are using for cutting

Would dextrose be ok? I always have 60 grams carb from dex and 45g from whey. Mixed with water

My PWO meal is no different than any other meal. I usually eat some fish, green veggies, and almonds when returning from the gym. If I'm pressed on time, or have other plans, protein shake will do just fine.

lol how is that the cookie cutter BB response?
this is more like it: dextrose and whey etc.
by the way, you can eat whatever you want as long as you get enough protein in (unless of you're you compete)

LOL do you seriously eat such a low GI meal as your PWO? That is the most retarded thing I've read in my 5 year history posting here if true.

High GI carbs is a more definitive answer than the vague "eat whatever you want as long as it's in your macros", which gives no help to the confused person who originally asks a question.

x2. Haha, by there logic they would be fine if all there Pro/Carbs/Fat, came from just; whey protein, white bread, and pure lard, so long as they hit there macros.
