Your essay goes here close to or after your transformation. No later than 4-30-09 at 11:59pm. You don't have to post your before and after pics here if you don't want to, but you do have to post them to your progress photos section on your Bodyspace. Hope that helps!

Yes, I am READY!!!
Ok, Who is ready to get into shape??? ... I am! I think we are all winners just for taking this step. I see there have already been amazing transformations (way to go, that's so awesome!) and I can't wait to start seeing all the progress pictures!! Let's do it!
What kind of picture should go in the profile pic? Does it really need to be a posing pic or can it just be a head shot?

I'm In to Win!!
I happened to be snooping around the website and the entry caught my eye. I have been eating fairly well since Jan. and I said, "I can totally do this." With a little help from my new friend "Hydroxy Cut," I think I can really DO THIS!!!
Im so excited to post the final product!!! This will be a challenge because I always seem to quit half way through everything..but I know I can do this with my new boosting power.
Good luck luck ladies...we are all winners already for trying right!!!
BTW...I got some stiff comp in here!!! Yikes! This stuff really works!

That's awesome! Go you! It's been exactly a week since Ive started dieting and I have lost 11.5 pounds so I'm pretty thrilled as well. Although, I know it was fresh and it won't happen again this week...it's still nice to see the quick results! Keep up the good work..you're doing something right!

Wishing everyone good luck and great training during this contest.
One thing that really helps to keep me on target with my goals would have to be my workout journal.
Create one today if you haven't already. It will keep you accountable to your friends and BodySpace visitors.
Enjoy this thread for the fun of exchanging ideas and maybe learning some new techniques or approaches to reaching your goals.
I'm "next door" in the other MuscleTech contest and my current goal is to tighten up my waistline and lose about ten pounds of fat (I'm sure I have that much to spare.)
Again, good luck. And more importantly, good planning!

45 days in. progress pics down 14.4lbs, down bodyfat, up strength
Its hard to hang in there, yesterday while i was feeling particularly stressed I ate 2 protein bars, extra 150 cal ea. But that has been my only cheat. (well kind of)
I have allowed myself to have one slice of real provolone cheese melted over my grilled chicken everyday. The Hydroxycut is great. I am careful to not take it on an empty stomach or when I have recently had a cup of coffee.

One more picture question to the Hydroxycut Rep.
When I read the instructions to enter, I read it as , buy product from BB.com, make bodyspace account if you dont have one, post before pictures to it. , then complete online entry form, next step work your arse off for a transformation.
I was mortified to have to post my before pictures on my bodyspace, but I did because I had to have them up the same day I took the pics, to show what date I took them besides the paper. I have wanted to look at others contestants who are posting to see how they are doing but, alot of contestants havent posted their before pictures yet. Do the before pictures have to be posted to the bodyspace at any certain time? or can you post your before and after pictures at the end. If thats the case, I will be pulling down my embarrassing before pics.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
How to post pics in thread from your bodyspace.
It took me searching the posts to find out how to link my pics from my bodyspace here so I am including it in this post so I can refer to it, and to help others trying to figure it out.

So motivated
Just posting a thread (as suggested in the contest rules) to see who all is in this contest and how it works. Actually not sure if I'm doing this right, but we'll see. I decided to do the Hydroxycut Transformation Contest back in December. My start date was Jan. 1. Took Hydroxycut Max, worked out, and dieted for one month and saw results....so then became motivated to do my first Figure Competition...which will be May 16. So I've got a double goal here. I'm going to attach my before pics taken on Jan 1. Good luck to all who are doing this and stay Strong!!! -Tracy

ROESIKE..I was under the impression we had to post before pics on our bodyspace and also on this forum thread. So here are mine...the back view is gross...can't believe I've posted my big butt in a bikini, but it's motivating me. I actually feel like I look different and it's only been one month pretty much.

Holly 854--doing good, keep up the good work. I'd skip the cheese if I were you. I've been eating dairy and have recently taken some direction from Amy Kessler (online coach). She's taken me off all dairy and I take calcium chews. My digestion has improved and I think the fat in dairy was making me hold extra bloating. Great Work!!!

Thanks for the encouragement, I have a L O N G way to go and a lot of work and motivation to keep up. There are a lot of others that have traveled from where I am to being fit, and looking at their transformations is inspiring. (yes I am talking about others in this thread that have posted pics, ^5 thankyou)
My husband has been on me to quit the cheese too, but, its sooo yummy. Yesterday I conceded to 1/2 slice a day instead of a whole slice. I am doing 30-45 min of high cardio a day, with circuit weight training.every other day. I am pushing heavier weights each week, while working on form while doing them. I have decided that I wont push more than 120lbs on the squat machine (makes marks on my shoulders).
I have seen questions in the forms about people using the machines instead of the free weights. I have a theory and give me your opinions please.
I am thinking its easier to do the lift motion wrong (wrong grip, or bad form too quick or using wrong set of muscles) or incomplete motions using the machines than with free weights. What do you think of my theory??

Hi Molly,
Your transformation pics are quite impressive! Keep up the good work! At the end of the contest it would be so awesome to see your wearing that bikini on the boat that shows in your profile picture. How cool would that be?!?!
As for strength training I use both free weights and machines. However, the ratio for machines is a lot higher than free weights. For me it comes down to form. I sometimes get distracted just listening to my music and thinking about other things that I dont pay close attention to my form. If that happens Im less likely to pull something on the machine than free weights. As for what works out the body the best I dont know the answer but for me its more important that I remain injury free since there have been times that I let my guard down and dint pay attention enough during the actual exercise, thus, resulted in an injury.
My reps are short but the weights are HEAVY. I lift 3 sets of 6 reps each. By the time the 6 rep comes I am at muscle failure. I lift one second up and go down 3 ? 5 seconds. So basically fast up and slooooowwwww down. I do full, upper and lower sets for each muscle so that equals 36 reps per machine or free weights. When I say full set that means doing the the exercise from top to bottom as far as I can. Upper means contracting the muscle from top to mid way and then going back to top. Lower means lifting up to halfway and releasing to bottom and lifting to halfway, etc . . . I have been using the full, upper and lower method for years now. During my initial weight loss a friend of mine who is a bodybuilder told me that because of the excessive amount of weight I wanted to lose that would be the best method to help combat the extra skin I was going to have as a result of losing so much weight. Although, I still have saggy skin, I firmly believe it is not as bad as others who have lost over 100 pounds due to his advice so I have continued that same formula.
The only thing that has changed is the 1 second up 3 ? 5 second drop. I learned about that technique in an Oxygen magazine article and was ready for a change so I started adding that to my routine. I had to lower the amount of weights I was lifting in order to continue with my 6 reps. However, each week I am able to add on more weight. If anyone tries it be prepared to completely tax your muscles. I never felt so sore in my life!!! Boy it is tough . . . but I notice an improvement in my muscles and am beginning to wonder and think that by the end of the transformation if not only will I go back to my thinner self but I will actually be more muscular and toned then before because of this minor modification. We shall see . . .
Take care all and have a great week!

pictures on Bodyspace are necessary for the challenge. It is optional to post the pictures on this thread. I will re-read the official rules, but I'm 99% sure...
correct me if I'm wrong,
Thanks

around 10 weeks and a couple days left!!!
To all the ladies in this competition and to all the ladies deciding
to do both body transformations... Good Luck.
I've made a couple posts on this thread... Its been a while since
I've posted pics.
Took some time to figure out my digestion issues.
Finally, after 8 yrs. of misery, I am happy.
Progression pics in a couple days. Just started eating
complex carbs again. I won't look flat.
Keep up the hard work ladies..
