What's up, Bro? Congrats on busting through your goals! Continue to do so! That Halo is the "truth"! I hope that you continue to shatter your fitness goal and good luck to you in the contest. See you at the end....training hard till then!

16 pages later and now here I am
I've not been here for a while since I've been busy with lots of work and school. As far as progress goes, there has not been much here. I been fighting to squeeze a workout here and there.
Good luck everyone!!!

That was me on Friday. Pasta did me in...then I figured....might as well have some dessert too! Yesterday I ate too many carbs too. I guess I fell off the wagon a bit....but...I don't think it will hinder my progress too bad! Just gotta get right back on!

no such thing as a cheat meal
there are no cheat meals my friends so you ate unclean one day or two days its ok think of it as shocking your body. you have been eating clean so long your probably eating less than you need to be so when you eat something that is not clean(NO SUCH THING AS BAD FOOD) you catch up on some nutrients. what iam trying to say is dont get down on yourselves keep your head up its not the end of the world.

don't you all hate needing to go out and keep buying new clothes, because your old ones keep falling off. Keep strong. More chocolate cake in the house today, it was a low carb day. not one bite. Oh Yea!!!! $25,000.00 and a six pack ab.

Scivation diet
Hey is anyone out there doing the Scivation diet? I ran across it and was wondering if anybody has had success with it and/or was incorporating it with this contest. I basically sounds like a super low carb diet with a carb loading meal every three days.

Keep on going
Two weeks in of working super hard and eating right. I've seen great results so far. I just posted progress pics. I hope everyone else is still hitting it hard. This is one of the greatest things I have found to join. Everyone is here for the same reason and the support is great. Keep it up everyone. You have to go through the fire to make steel.

What's up, Bro? I commend you on your efforts, continue to make a diligent effort to train where or whenever you can; it will be tough, but you can do it! A little progress is better than none! Keep your head up.

I will contiue to use the resources that I have. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. The main thing I am really worried about is getting a good leg workout. Is it possible to gain mass without a lot of weight? Maybe I can drive the 45 miles to the gym on leg day.

The Foundation for My Meal Planning
I had a friend ask me how I figure out what and when to eat. It got me really thinking about the "rules" I've got locked in my brain that guide my meal planning. I wrote some things down in my recipe forum, post #19 if you're interested.

Im going to start the Scivation CHA diet (Carb Haters Anonymous). Lots of protein, little (or no carbs), mod fat. If you want, 3 cups of green veggies per day. One "cheat" meal per week (optional).
This will go with the Scivation Antagonistic Training System. Train oppsite Body parts on same day.... ie: chest/back...
Going full force from here on in...........

just checking in with everyone and hope you're all on spot...I was doing a keto diet but now switching over to a cyclic keto diet because I'm losing weight too quickly...I want to sacrifice the least amount of muscle that I can so I gotta switch up a little...One thing I'm happy with though is I'm still getting a tad stronger every week. benched 515lbs and squatted(ass to ankle) 405 for 3 sets of 16 reps this week. hope all is well...

What's up all!?!? Things are going great on this end. I'm gaining muscle and losing weight also. At least I think I am because the fat is coming off and my bench, leg press and arm curl max is going UP UP UP. Here is a little progress picture - just my arm but feeling the pump. Hope everyone's progress is going well too, I love reading the forum everyday for inspiration.

Man I feel your pain. My gym is about 45min to an hour away depending on traffic. I go twice a week, for legs and back. Keep doing what your doing the hard work will pay off.

week 2 stats
Start 02/02/09 280lb
02/09/09 271.5lb
02/16/09 270lb
I was hoping to lose more weight this week but only lost about a pound. I'm eating clean and haven't fell off the wagon, nor do i plan to.
Hitting the weights hard, my cardio is pretty light right now. I'm trying to get my knees and ankles used to the new work load. I will step up the cardio a little this week and hope to jogging by next week.
I got about an hour of sparring in on sunday. It was a very humbling experience after about a 3 year layoff from that. But man did i have some FUN.
Everybody stay healthy and keep working hard.

Seems to me it would be profitable to buy your own home gym. Home gym price would be = to the money on gas, gym membership and 45 min of time driving. You two could probably get a nice gym set for that. Is it 45 min both ways too? Just a thought.

I"ve lost no weight since I started and stayed relatively around the 198-200pd range... however, my abs are starting to show and I'm seeing muscles I've never seen before! I got rid of my scale and replaced it with a mirror - it is a better way to determine the state of your progress!

I prefer the scale/mirror/tape combo...
... cause mirrors don't always tell the truth either!
