Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Review
Just finished up a tub of ON Whey, and I'm kinda broke right now, so decided to give this stuff a shot. I used to use the regular Body Fortress Whey a few years ago.
Ingredient Profile (9/10): Only reason it doesn't get a perfect score is that the amt. of BCAAs is a little less than other whey protein products I've used. Everything is about identical (cals, fat, etc), does contain 26g of protein per scoop. Also contains Creatine Mono and Glutamine, though it doesn't list exact numbers for each, just 18g of the "Super Recovery Blend".
Mixibility (10/10): I mix it with a blender and milk, and have no problem, nice and smooth.
Taste (6/10): I'm a little torn on this, I might just be a little picky. Definintely had better tasting powders (I'm used to ON and BSN Syntha 6). I'm using the chocolate flavor, and it tastes sort of bitter. It does contain sucralose, but its the last ingredient listed. IMO could use more sweetener.
Price (10/10): 2lb tub was about $13 at Wal-Mart. 'Nuff said.
Overall (8.5/10): Other than the taste, its a pretty solid protein powder, especially for the price.

Thanks for the review.
I am a fan of this and have used it for over a year now. It stacks up with some protein powders 2 or 3 times the price. I hate giving Wal-Mart my money but hey, $13 for the jug can't be beat.
Taste gets old. They just came out with Strawberry so it is good until I get used to it.

Glad you liked the review man. I haven't tried the strawberry, I may want to give it a shot. I've seen they have a Cookies n Cream one out now too.

I do want to modify my statement about mixibility, it does seem to always taste a little "grainy" from the creatine mono. Still, why complain when it was only $13?

grainy is probably from the BCAAs not the creatine monohydrate. mono is usually pretty fluffy as when i always add or use a product with a lot of BCAAs it gets a little grainier and i see little "crystals" near the bottom floating.

I just found it at a discount/closeout store for 7.99 for the 2 lb. size. It's the cookies n' creme, which may not taste great (haven't tried yet), but for the price they had it for, I felt compelled to grab 5 of them.
I figure if it tastes decent, I'll be very happy. Even if it tastes pretty bad, I'll still be fairly happy to get any decent whey that cheap, esp. w/ the added glut and mono. Hopefully, it won't taste like total ass.

This is good stuff. I am currently vacationing in Fl, and picked up a tub at Wal-mart to supplement meals. Taste is not too bad.

Ok, so I just downed my first try of this stuff (cookies n' creme) and it was pretty decent. It's not on a par w/ the same flavor from Muscle Milk or anything, but I didn't expect it to be.
I did a search and found a few ppl. saying how terrible that flavor was, but I'd say they're just being way too picky. I did 2 scoops in about 1 oz. of water and it was fine. A tad sweet, but not bad at all.

I've got a question about this stuff. I just got some today actually and used it for the first time. I workout 4 times a week....5 times if I get bored on weekends. Should I consume this on days I don't workout? I'm not really trying to diet, I'm trying to build muscle. The directions say to take it after an intense workout if your body building, or daily if your a dieter. Would it help me build muscle if I take it daily?

Not a fan!
No doubt, you get one hell of a bang for your buck. This is only my 2nd tub of protein, and I went from a spendy brand Maximum Muscle MaxPro Chocolate, to The cookies and cream body fortress. I was impressed with the fact that it did already contain both creatine and glutamine. However, I drink 3 double scoop shakes per day, and so this is far more creatine than I need. Also, after about 4 shakes, It became harder and harder to drink. I have basically been gagging my way through them till I can afford something better. The grainy texture really sucks for me. And the flavor leaves much to be desired. Overall, cheap protein though.

Glad I googled this and found these reviews. I grabbed it because the packaging is so smiliar to 6 star. So I was like I wonder if this is any good? It tastes GHASTLY (strawberry) I lovingly refer to it as sweaty azz flavor but if it still performs I can bare it.
I hate giving whally world my money too, but I hate going to GNC too. Ha-ha!! I use a lot of protein Supps cause I'm a vegetarian so getting more for my money is always good. Thanks people I feel good about using this now.

i use it as backup protein or if im low on funds... its gets the job done... imo other proteins MAY have a higher quality, but imo it comes down to taste...

Just getting started with Body Fortress Super Whey Protein....
For the last year I've been doing my best to lean up. I think I've gotten to a point of hanging on to just enough of "beef" to start building muscle. So in hte last month and a half I've put on 6 pounds. It's been hard.
I noticed the gain but lately my body had been extra sore and saying I'm not eating enough especially protein. So I thought I'd give Body Fortress and shot and see what happens. When I tried to list it as a supplement on here I noticed it wasn't there so I manually added it. But it got me worried that the stuff wasn't good. I'm glad to read reviews saying that it works. I have the chocolate one and it's not the best tasting but it does the job.
What I'm running into right now is that it leaves mefeeling full. I'm not sure if it's because I'm only on day three of starting to take this type of supplement ever.
I'll update in a month or so and see if I see the results I'm looking for.

Quality protein. I've been using it for quite a while and does the job. Mix it with skim milk and its much better. Even better throw it in a blender with a couple of ice cubes...quite tasty then IMO

i just got a 5lb tub from walmart for 10$ and i like it so far. does anyone know how much creatine is in this? i do 4 scoops after every workout and i don't get gas like with other proteins and i take it with 100g of sugar either regular table sugar or dextrose if i have it. i was thinking because of what it costs it might have 3-5g of mono per scoop. anyone agree?

I'm on my second tub of this stuff right now and so far so good. I think it tastes great, better with milk than water, but taste really means nothing too me as long as the results are there. Muscle Milk seemed to pack more fat on my frame, this stuff really seems to help add lean muscle mass. Drink it with fat free milk and you'll have yourself a tasty protein shake.
