I won't be able to; I'd be dead.
I don't know how one could possibly consider what you said a valid argument; it isn't.
What is the risk of death in plane travel vs risk of death in car travel? THAT information is relevant to making a valid argument.
*many people survive plane crashes and many people die by car btw.

i just can't sleep. it's tragic and i feel so horrible for everyone who lost a life. I probably know someone affected by this directly. I'm just hoping that I haven't. It changes my view of my neighborhood. I am finally starting to understand the trauma that 9/11 induced, if it's anything like witnessing this multiplied by 1,000,000, it's life altering. New respect for first responders.
My sister lives in ny, travels that route all time, was planning on coming home this weekend either yesterday or today for my mom's bday. It just makes me sick. Seems so messed up to have to post on the misc section about this, but it's the only place I can think of where I can have any human contact besides the texts flying between my friends right now. I just need to feel connected to something right now, even if it's a bunch of trolls or oddballs.

I could not even imagine. Just sitting at home Miscing before getting ready for bed and work in the morning, and BAM, you or a family member is just dead for no reason and all of your belongings are destroyed. That sucks.

Yeah but the guy was saying he is a white knight when he obviously isn't, how is he a white knight for pointing out that he was worried and knew that this would affect him psycholigically

This actually happened to me a few years ago. A plane crashed into a house practically right down the street from me. The owners were at work, but they're son was. He died. (serious)

Survival of plane crashes themselves is 95%; though this isn't valid in answering which is the safer to travel by. (Guess which one is way less likely to crash in the first place...)
Deaths on planes also happen extremely infrequently compared to car crashes. None of this is valid in saying which is actually the safer to travel by. That's makes no sense.
In terms of distance travelling; planes are infinitely safer. In terms of time spent travelling, cars are slightly safer. The same journey is much, much safer by plane than it is by car.

Ill simplify all this bull**** for you. If knowing you were going to be in one and you had a choice... would you rather be in a plane crash or a car accident? Without knowing the extent of damage before hand in either accident. I would definetely take my chances in a car accident over a plane crash.

No need to simplify it; I ain't having any problems with logic or understanding here.
A car accident.
In terms of crashing, car is safer. But in terms of traveling; plane is safer. It's impossible to know if you're going to crash before you make your journey. It's easy to know if you're going to be travelling by car or plane. So in terms of choices that are actually possible to make in the real world, choosing planes for a journey is safer.
Most of what you said has been wrong.

It IS the safest way to travel. It is just not the safest way to crash. You are a little confused brah.

ZERO! son... everything I have said has been on the money. My original point was that when your in an accident a car is safer and you just said that yourself. I dont give a fukk about percentages and ratios of accidents, your complicating a simple answer, which is I would much rather travel by car than plane because if an accident does occur at least I have a chance at living. Yet another STRONG VALID ARGUEMENT NIGRA!!! U CANT SEE ME

It IS the safest way to travel. It is just not the safest way to crash. You are a little confused about the difference brah. But it's really, really simple.
Being less confused doesn't make someone an idiot, in fairness.
