Alright, been busy lately and haven't had much time to post. Took last week off from the gym. Just needed a mental and physical break to be honest. Went back to the gym last night, and was greeted with some rather irritating news. When they swiped my card to sign me in, they informed me to sign the guest list. I asked, "why would I be signing a guest list being as I've been a member here for a year now?" Apparently the owner of the building decided to drop the 24 hour fitness franchise and didn't let anyone know. Now I have to drive across town to use my membership. I bought my f'ing house last year because of how close it was in proximity to the damn gym!!! Apparently, it is now a "Body Fortress" gym. Which I have never heard of. They told me that "you can always get a year membership here on special for $120." I told them to "kiss my ass!!! I have 3 years left on my 24 hour membership, and the flippin' owner didn't care enough about his clientel to even inform them that this was coming. Hell know I don't want a membership with you. And when my current membership is up, I will most likely sign with any of the other gyms around here before coming back to this place."
Sorry for the rant. They pissed me off!!!

Dude that really sucks. I know what you mean. I only live about 2/10ths of a mile from my gym and thats the main reason I live where I live. Too close to the gym to make any excuses.

Well, I've been doing my weight routine for about 11 weeks now. Think it's time to switch it up. Now I got to scroll through the 2 million workout routines and find one that will work for me. lol Anyway, I started doing a H.I.I.T. routine at night. Holy crap is it harder then I was expecting. Here it is if any of you want to try it out;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZxTANP1JX8
I assure you that if you push it, you'll be lucky to crawl your ass to the shower. lol
Are you all sticking to your routines? Have any of you changed it up?

Cool, thanks for the video I will definately try that out. I just changed my routine I've been doing mine for quite awhile now. I used to lift as heavy as I could for 8-10 reps. Now I have to take it easy because of my wrist so now I use lighter weights with more reps. I do between 12-15 reps and rest no more than 15-20 seconds between sets or sometimes I will do somethings to failure. I also added a lot of drop sets and super sets mixed in. I'm dripping with sweat by the time I even do cardio lol. I've been doing this for a week and already my tendonitis is getting better. I've also added another day of HIIT so I do it 3 times a week now for 20-25 mins on a treadmill. I'm going to try that quarterdeck workout tomorrow night I'll let you know how it goes.

I changed my diet. I added alot more calories and carbs for the week. As expected my weight jumped up alot but I've accomplished what i was looking to do. The tendon injuries in to my elbow and foot were not healing at all. I figured a reduced calorie diet was not helping matters. I can tell you that my elbow is now about 75% and my foot is probably 95% which is a huge improvement over the week before. As an added bonus my lifts went up a little. i'm sure as soon as I crank it back down the strength will drop back off. I hope the injuries dont return.

Im on week 4 of that program you linked me to. Id be alright if I could just tighten my diet down. Its pretty clean, but of course there's a few here and there that I shouldnt be eating, that I do eat.

Sweet, everyone sounds like their getting things dialed in:-) I'm hoping for a good number this weekend. I've upped the H.I.I.T. and been absolutely 100% on the diet front. Just not sure how much damage the Super Bowl party did. lol I guess I'll find out tomorrow morning...

Wow, buried to page 7, where is everyone?!? Anyways, I ended up taking Friday off, and not working out. Just needed a break. Anyways, went to the outlet mall last night with a friend, and I can actually fit into size 34 pants! So even though my belly is still here, and I think it hasnt gone down, obviously my waist has, and Im doing something right! Nice to think, just around a year ago, I was wearing 38-40's to be comfortable, and now my 38's are just way to big, and now I can comfortably wear 36's, and actually squeeze into a 34. By the end of this, Im hoping Ill be wearing 34's comfortably everyday!!

Congrats man good to hear! I weighed in this morning I stayed the same at 197lbs. I ate like crap all week I thought for sure that I would of gained weight this week, but I still made it to the gym everyday so that helped a lot. However my body fat went down to 19.1% from the 21.5% it was last week. Idk how that happened but I'll take it.

Hey guys, just checking in. My diet has been perfect so far this week after falling off a bit last week. And my tendonitis seems to be getting better each day, but after this comp I will probably have to take a break from lifting for awhile to give it more time to heal so I'm giving it everything I have this last month and a half. I too am curious how many people we have left I'm guessing maybe 5-6 at the most? Come on guys hang in there! I thought about quiting a few times, but the thing that keeps me going is that come April 1st we are all going to be coming back to these boards and seeing everyone else that stuck with the comp and seeing their transformations and realizing that we could see the same progress if not better if we would of stuck it out during the comp. So come on everyone just hang in there we are almost half way there.

There are a few that haven't updated for the 1st of February yet. Guess I just have to update what I have and post the chart. I'll take care of that tonight. Guess we've had a couple fall out...

Damn this thread drops fast thru the pages. Hope everyone is doing well with there weight loss. Are we posting pics every month? I saw a few but either not many are posting pics or we don't have many left in the contest. I can post a new one for this month or just wait. I had a good weight loss to start off with but it has been just creeping slowly down now. 17.5 lbs lost so far, feels like mostly water weight to me.

Sorry, didn't post the chart last night. Got caught up. I will definitely do it tonight. As far as the pics. I thought it would be cool to do it every month, but really the first and last are the truly important pics. So long as you keep posting stats. And thanks Decuic for posting your stats.

Quick update...
I've had a rough couple of weeks. The furnace control board broke, and I've had no heat in my house for the last few weeks. It was OK for a little while, but this last week or two, we've been getting into the teens and some single digit temps. Pretty cold for not having heat. I woke up the other morning and the house was 46 degrees. It was damn hard to get out of bed. We have a fireplace in the master bedroom upstairs, which keeps it tolerable up there, but doesn't do a damn thing for the first floor. It's been weird though. I've lost my appetite. I've probably been consuming 8-900 calories a day for the last week. My weight loss has stalled. I haven't gained or lost weight in two weeks. So, that's where I am. Struggling to get my diet back to the 2400 calories it should be at. I use to think that cold made me eat more, but apparently it's the opposite that's true. lol I guess it's just inactivity that makes me eat more.

sorry I really do not have a good BF% estimate to give you....I would doubt that its very much different than when I started. Maybe -1/2% if I'm lucky. Its a pretty trivial amount if any.

Everyone I've talked to has said the abs typically become visible around 11-12% body fat. But as you said, it is different from person to person.

No worries bro. I'm more concerned with those that haven't even checked in. Might be cutting some people off of the chart.

This week I've worked out twice and done cardio after each workout, kept my diet clean as well. I'm hoping I can fianally make something out of this. I've been hitting and missing the past month and a half.

I wished that were the case sometimes. lol We are a desert. During the winter it is warm during the day, but it gets pretty damn cold at night. We can have a temperature variance of 40 degrees from high to low in a single day. We are having a storm system come through right now, and it doesn't look like it is going to pass till mid next week. I love it here, but only when the heater and air conditioning are functioning properly. lol

Yeah that's true. I went on vacation to Las Vegas in September it was 85-90 degrees during the day then at night it would go down to 50-60 degrees and I would have to wear a light coat or sweatshirt walking around. There really is a big difference in temperature there during the day and night.
