Thanks Face

Thanks for the reply... i was just curious, i started taking Halo last week and i was wondering what to expect. The product seems to be working very well for me also.. i feel the tightness and cooling effects post workout. The advertisement ad had so much hype to it, i was a little skeptical.. but so far so good

I just had the most incredible leg workout ever! As I mentioned before, I have a weak right knee, as a result from being his with a metal plate, which made me second guess my own strength. As I had the day off, I decided to go completely ballistic on my workout, only to surprise myself with the results:

Hack Squat:
180pds - 15reps
270pds - 12reps
320pds - 8reps (this is the heaviest I've ever lifted... til today. This was suppose to be my last set, but I kept going...)
350pds - 8reps
370pds - 8reps
400pds - 6reps

Leg Press:
270pds - 15reps
360pds - 12reps
400pds - 12reps

I just wanted to say that reading all your guys info in the forums helps keep me motivated, I have felt like giving up lately and seeing that you are all still going hard makes me want to continue. Anyway, I still can't wait for this contest to be over, being on such a strict diet is kicking my ass. The diet, the diet, aaahhhh!!

I miss pizza the most, but the way I keep myself away is thinking: "That slice of pizza is not two dollars.... its worth several thousand." Its psychological warfare on yourself. Would you buy a slice of pizza worth several thousand? Its with that mindset that I am able to stay within my diet, even amongst the junk food junkies at work.

Lol, that's funny you should say that because I had 6 slices of Papa Johns pizza last night, some cheese bread sticks and diet coke. lol. I felt like ****. It's been a rough last couple days for me but I'm back on track.

6 slices of $25000.00 pizza's taste pretty damn good though, but not worth it

Keep on the creatine. Make sure you get plenty of protein, water and recovery. Add a couple of Nitro-Tech shakes into your diet. You'll be adding muscle as long as your workouts are right. Good luck!

I started back in January and swore to get it together, but am still struggling in the same catabolic cycles that have kept me at 140 Lbs. Is anyone having trouble and want to rant, rave, or vent to someone about it? That would be me.
Well, I went out on a limb and spent last month's allowance on Leukic, Gakic, naNOX9, Aplodan, and CryoTest. As these are interesting and trust me I've tried a few of them and they work like magic or something, as I get great results and don't even take a full serving! I feel I've made a good investment and was wondering if I should mix and match two or more of these supps or even try to take all five of them at the same time to maybe see if I'll get some great anabolic effect. Is anyone out there experienced w/ mixing these products or taking them simultaenously?
So far I think I've gained 5 Lbs. of muscle in these three weeks, and see a big difference. I've been dabbling w/ Leukic and Aplodan on different days, but I cannot stick to eatting enough or training more than once a week in balance w/ a busy lifestyle of school and work. Currently, stressed by trying to keep up w/ my life and bodybuilding too, and feeling like I'm about to lose all the work on this contest so far by.
I'll get it going and hope everyone stays positive, since all the good energy on this site has helped me to not quit and not be like I've always sunk to marginalizing or abandoning the workout and diet plans, in the past.
What would Dexter do?
Hope I've encouraged someone else who is struggling; they're not alone! take care and lift like crazy my friends! You better believe I'll be!
I understand where you're coming from. I've had lots of hard-gainer friends. Lucky for me I gain weight easily (double-edged sword... i gain fat easily too).

Take the supplements as directed. Don't take Aplodan and Leukic on different days. Take them both as directed. I think they'll help you.

Also, add a couple of Nitro-Tech shakes per day into your diet. I don't know what's in these things, but I swear they're doing wonders for me! It's like the protein is going directly into the muscle.

Whatever you decide, DON'T GIVE UP! You're in this thing now. It's only another couple of months. Stick with it! You'll see the changes, and you'll hopefully step right into this lifestyle. Good luck man!

Trans- it looks like from your signature that you are getting some great weight losses. Could your body be craving more calories because your also working out hard and trying to build muscle too You may want to look at your diet to make sure your calorie deficit per day is not more than 1000- and add more good calories to your diet if you are short.

and glad to hear your back on track. I missed a cardio workout yesterday, but other than that I am on track. I miss taco bell for lunch, grilled stuffed burrito and nacho chips and a big diet cola,(yes and the pizza too) ok, enough of that.

I agree with Curt, the Cookies and Cream is my desert. Its so good it IS like having a cheating desert.

If anyone is having trouble keeping to their diet, I suggest looking at OldManSkinny's posts. It was his suggestion on how to spruce up your food that kept me from getting bored from it. Tuna decorated diffrently everyday is like a different meal for my taste buds. That, added with the fact that every piece of junk food, is now worth $25000.00 each, is a big incentive to avoid it.

What's up with skipping Diet drinks, are they bad for dieting? Reason I ask I have heard they are from a few people now but they have no reason/proof to back it up. Do you know if this is true or not?

*Edit* I found out why people say that. Found this in a study.

"Quote" and Source

"But why would diet soda make some people gain weight? There are only theories at this point but it may be as simple as people consciously eating more because they think they can.

Khristianne Corro says, "If I'm having one of those pig out days, then yeah, I figure maybe it'll balance it out a little bit."

And Tomczak says, "I'm drinking the diet soda and you know let me have that hamburger and fries, instead of just the hamburger alone."

I avoid all carbonated drinks. I had a diet coke once after 6 months of intense training and you know what... it was disgusting. It gave me a headache, I felt nauseous, etc. If you stay away from junk food long enough and then eat it again, you'll see why it's called junk food in the first place. Besides, drinking 2 gallons of water a day, kinda leaves no room for other drinks. :P

Cycling off creatine products never made much difference for me. Remember 2 things--creatine helps the muscle recover faster, so it diminishes DOMS, and there's more water in the muscles on creatine, making them look more pumped.

GoIrish01 asked for help with eating on a tight schedule. I put a few ideas in my recipe forum (post #18) that might be helpful to others of you as well.
Mr oldman skinny my good friend please help me outr with some ideas for eating frozen broccli and spinach i usually add nothing or the most a lil oil and gralic but its getting so haard tyo eat sometimes i would rather eat nothing lol .....also if your looking for a nice way to eat yams cut them nto small chunks thrhow a lil salt ( really helps the flavor balance) and heat them 450 for 35 40 mins then add sugar free syrup and you got a nice sidee

Looks like 21 days!!! That's a whole lotta Nitro-Tech I'm guessing! lmao

I think I could do it, just because I know how my body responds especially after a long layoff. The tricky part for me is doing it without fat gain as well. My insulin spikes feed ALL my cells!

The guy in question reduced his bodyfat, too? Nice. I'm looking forward to the big reveal once you get the PM!

Iz

p.s. I wish I weren't so tubby right now. Every time I get back into the gym regularly, I want to gain weight! Even the diet... it's always gain, gain, gain! Tough mentality. Right now I'm having some difficulty. I'll reveal that sometime later in a blog post.

I'm not to worried about him, I can beat that. I am inspired though. Hw is really bringing the pain. I think this contest is starting to look up, really will get interesting towards the end.

p.s. I understand your pain, I have always been a big gainer when I hit the gym too. As I gain weight the bench sky rockets, when I lose weight I lose bench. It's hard to juggle the right Calories and proper proteins/carbs. You will do good, eat lean and you will be what you want to be come May.

LOL @ people using PH's/AS with Nitro-Tech. When I see things like that, it inspires me to work harder! Shame, no fairness these days, nevertheless, THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!

I'm excited about the contest. Also inspired by that guy's gains. I think transformation-wise, though, I will have the advantage. I've "let myself go" for so long that I'm really motivated to transform. I'm really impressed with all the new technologies out in supplements, too. MuscleTech has really done a lot in advancing the sport and what's possible.

For me, it takes a lot of playing with my macros to get the right weight-gain /weight-loss going. I'm liking the Nitro-Tech a LOT for that reason. I'm adding a lot of extra protein without having to add a whole bunch of carbs. I get to shuttle more to my muscles than my gut. That's a good thing!

Still difficult for me to go into the gym without hitting the iron too hard. Mental games.

I know what you guys mean. I seem to put on muscle and fat easy enough, taking off fat not so good. I think for my body the key is to get in at LEAST 30min of steady cardio a day until I get body fat into single digits then add some interval training. Now that its gotton above single digits in Michigan I'll make it happen. YOU must be the change in the world you wish to see...

I'm sure the guy in question has worked those 3 weeks, but it looks like the classic before/after manipulation. In the second picture he's flexing his abs and showing his lats and upper arms. If you look at his pecs, though, they look about the same size.

I was tempted to let my gut relax, slouch over, and frown in my "before" shots. I actually did take a couple of shots like that, but then I did my best pose for the contest entry. Comparing my photos (slouching vs. flexing), taken within minutes of each other, they'd almost qualify for before/after photos for a 12-week contest. It's the waist hanging over on the sides in both of them that gives me away. I should have put my hands on my waist to cover those handles up.

i'd have to agree with old man skinny. while i dont doubt the gains he's posted and probably has dropped some body fat too, the way he is standing, with hands on hips, shows alot more muscularity than the other picture. i've noticed this looking at myself, i can get a real muscular look with hands on the hips but with arms hanging to the side, not so much. thats why they have you do multiple poses. either way, this dude's still making great progress
