Breast Enhancement ????
Ok guys I have a new client and she is a cocktail waitress at a local club. She looks great and is not your typical client who needs to drop 20% body fat.
She is 5'7" and 115 pounds. Her body fat is already around 16%. She just wants to have more muscle.
She came in for her first session and told me that she heard a rumor about doing certain chest exercises. She has fake breasts and was told that if she did certain movements it could possibly cause her breasts to spread apart and look funny. It was other girls who told her this, not her doctor.
Have any of you heard about this?
I have not had any issues in the past, and I cant find anything about it.
Thanks

i havent heard of this before, but the other girls who told her this may be comparing it to that of a fitness model with breats enhancement. They will have big chest muscles and it sometimes gives the appearence of a wider chest because you can see the muscle in between the breasts. I don't think that she will have that problem unless she is lifting to the seriousness of a figure model

Nah, she will be fine. Once she gets her body fat down some she will be more defined and thats all. If she is thinking about it too much just limit some of the chest exercises.

I have a few clients with fake titties myself. How i handled it was for their chest exercises, i used a lot of DB presses, some flyes etc. In order to let the client get some feel going in the area. Letting them feel their way into a more comfortable ROM, whilst still getting a beneficial workout.
You gotta communicate with them a lot though and make sure nothing's hurting them etc. But we always should be doin that anyway regardless.
It's a tough one sometimes, but just make sure she's got medical clearance on it to train before ya start anything. Get all the papers sorted out.

Thanks Guys,
Our first chest day we just did light dumbell press, both incline and flat. I did not want to do the flys just in case.
I will talk to her and let her know what everyone had to say, and I will just take it slow till she is comfortable.

That's the first I've heard of having muscle making the breast enhancements seem farther apart. Hmm. I've not had that problem with myself or any of my female clients with breast enhancements. You can't forget the chest if you're going to be working the back. I'd just do lower weights, more reps and mix up the types of exercise so she's well rounded. Good luck glyph!

Just saw this thread, sorry if I am a week behind. I was probably going to suggest not using the pectoral flye machine

Did she have the implants under the muscle or above as this can make a difference. Going on top of the chest muscle is a simpler procedure, and some say involves less recovery time, but without the anchoring of the chest muscle, the implant can migrate to other areas on the chest.
Too much chest work can cause hardening of the capsule of the implant, commonly known as capsular contraction. Also, the types of exercises you perform for chest work can have an impact on how the implant behaves in your body.
There are quite a few women on this board with implants and they've had to change up their chest workouts because of it.

She went under the muscle.
I have spent some time speaking to her about her concerns and she feels very comfortable now. I do as well.
I am going to concentrate more on her shoulders, back, arms and legs. They will need the most work for the look she wants. I will of course work her chest, but I will stay away from any type of fly for now.
Thanks everyone.
