Hey everyone, just thought I would somewhat introduce myself and say hi!
I have been lurking here a little over a month, just getting a feel for the board. I must say that I am impressed with the positive, low drama feel here.
I am 41 and just starting to get back into shape. I currently weigh 205lbs and stand between 5'11 and 6' (depending on the person taking the measurement, weird I know). My body fat percentage is 28%. My current short term goals are fat loss and increasing strength in my major muscle groups to prepare for a push at some decent muscle gain. So I guess that is to say I don't plan on getting frustrated @ staying in the 200lb range as long as the fat is going away.
My caloric intake is in the 2000 to 2500 calories per day range. With foods ranging from egg whites, wheat bread, chicken breasts, fish etc... My main diet problem at the moment is dinners with the family. That being some nights it consists of a hamburger helper, or pizza. Depending on the family schedule that evening.
For exercise, I hit my elliptical machine in the morning for 30 minutes, prior to eating breakfast. In the evening I am currently using bands for some resistance exercises. The gym membership is on the way, just waiting for the bureaucratic BS to work itself out between the gym and the employer.
When I get in the gym, I hope to spend the first the first month doing a circuit type training program.
Anyways, if any of you have any critiques or suggestions I am all ears!!!
