Every song on this album is pure gold. Keith Whitley is one of the greatest countryman in history. Almost every country artist since the 80's count Keith Whitley as one of their biggest influences. He died May 9, 1989 of Alcohol poisoning. He also had some problems with coke and had Valium in his system in his toxicology report. He was a closet alcoholic, never drinking infront of anyone else, even denying drinks offered to him. He would drink himself to near death alone, because of his underlying demons and alcoholism.

Any song by Keith Whitley is phenominal. His voice and timing were second to none. He had pure heart and soul in every song.

I have 2 albums, and the quality isnt that good. did a quick search and I concede defeat...lol. he's good too, wish there was more out there of him. remember this one well growing up, liked it alot...

Note: I convert all my MP3s to 128kbs using Blaze Media Pro. It saves space on my Ipod and hard drive. I personally can not tell a difference in the sound quality...but I know some people like the higher bitrates. I just don't want anyone to be misled... These are the tunes I listen to everyday.
