Hey guys quick question. Does bodyfat Relate to strength? Like If I cut slowly, would my strength go down or would it be possible to keep the same strength? Also naturally do you think I can stay lean at 8-10% body fat and still gain maybe 5 pounds a year of lean mass? If im Natural? If I setup my macros right?
Also would the protein I get from oats and stuff still count for my macros or do I only count protein from meats and stuff?
Btw Congrats on your wedding!! hope it goes great!

Protein from oats would count in your macros but it's not needed to count them. K.I.S.S.
You can gain 5lbs of LBM a year if you keep your BF in check, eat right, train hard, rest up and do your cardio.
Strength is associated with VO2 and the amount of oxygen+ATP that can be delivered to your muscles and it's return. I tend to train ahrder when I do more cardio and am leaner... hope that answers your question

hey Andre, i noticed you train at a 24hour, do you ever do traditional deads from the floor?
i ask because 24's have those retarded hexagonal plates and when i try to do normal deads they roll out of place after the deload (not sure if you know what i mean)...all i can do are rack deads and RDLs lol
ever found a fix for this?
105 video looks beastly btw dude

You live in La Crescenta? WTF? I train a few blocks away from your city... you go to the Magic Johnson one in Altadena by any chance?
I don't do Deadlifts from the floor anymore. I do them from the rack- they're easier on the hamstrings, lower back and they don't expand your waist also
Try to do them in the squat rack!!

Hey everyone, don't mean to sound sad but over last few days I read through the whole thread. And learnt so much so thanks for the opportunity to ask questions. I have a few
Im 19, been training for 2 years I was 9/10% body fat 2-3 years ago doing karate and sport, but skinny. Now close to 20% but with alot more muscle an im goin to start my first cut soon after ive planned everythin. Looking at forms of Keto diet and DC training.
- Keto forms of diet ask for increased fat intake and protein obviously but low carb. And then calling for a refeed day once a week? What about carbs with breakfast and postworkout to start off with while in the transition of my current diet to the keto? I also read somewhere an example of this kind of diet would involve meals such as "bacon/sausages and eggs", "minced beef and sliced cheese". Obviously you use better sources of protein; egg whites, salmon, orange roughy, chicken, turkey. My main problem is not wanting to eat bland meals like that. A meal with no carbs, just a dry chicken breast or a dry tin of tuna is hard work. Do you have any ways of eating foods such as chicken, do you fry it and add some sauce? (How many of your 5 a day do you get from whole foods veg, fruit or salad?)I can prepare the meals at the beggining of the day or the night before im at university also (england) and want it bad so i will work hard. After reading the thread i will now stop taking whey(maybe as last resort) no milk or dairy and invest in some BCAAs Glutamine and Multi's oils. The oils you speak of fish oils like cod liver oils or a more pure form? And how much a day? And also olive oil, that is a source of fat right? So i just drink a couple table spoons depending on my requirements? Obviously healthy fats from fish and nuts also. Eggs in the morining, eggs before bed, then 3/4 meals inbetween consisting of meats/fish. To get sufficient protein say 6oz each, calculating fat intake is new to me but ill learn as i go
-DC - Totally agree with the 1 working set all out kill yaself because when i first started i wanted to do every single excersise possible for that body part thinking it was going to make me grow i was overtrained all the time.
"Monday: chest, shoulders, triceps, back width, back thickness
Wednesday: biceps, forearms, calves, hamstrings, quads
Friday: repeat of Mondays body parts
Monday: repeat of Wednesdays' body parts"
this is something i found as an example of DC on the net. This training just involves one excersise for each body part to failure, and then 4 or so days later do it agen (but swap from incline to flat bench for example)
HIT? Now would that use some of the principles but use more excersises per body part at one time and only train it once a week?
Sorry for all the questions and the lengthy post. If you dont mind answering my questions so im clear ill try and set up my program. (Obviously id pay either of you to help but ive got ?300 to last me 8 weeks untill the end of term :P dont kno what that is in dollars? not much tho lol)
U guys look great and obviously worked and trained like animals :P

What style of Karate? I practiced Shotokan/Traditional for 4 years and did some BJJ/Muay Thai for a few years too...

This is to maintain your BMR running at a normal speed and not slowing down

KETO means lack of carbs. If you take in carbs in the AM or PWO then you're not in keto. It takes an average of 3 days for your body to deplete it's glycogen stores and dip into ketogenisis. TRUST ME. Those three days are hell and you DONT want to do anything that'll throw off your progress.

That's the anablic diet or South Beach, if I'm not mistaken; my variation is alot easier on your body and your results are way more optimal.

I have veggies and also share certain secrets with my trainees on how to season their foods and make certain "bland" things taste better. PLUS, don't forget there are special ingredients that can be added to maximize your taste w/o throwing you out of ketosis

Can you list a HIT routine you have used before please? If its not too much sets and reps would be awesome.
I was just looking for something to use instead of DC for during a later cut.

Hey guys I have a little $ to spend now that my gf doesn't want this book for valentines...(card+rose+romance=CHEAP) lol but srsly now that my food supply is set through April.....
I was thinking of using that money on
BCAAs
and something maybe a ZMA if it's affordable
??Question?: Is ZMA worth the $ or should I go with SOMETHING ELSE..like glutamine maybe??

In the rack you set the bars right below the knee's , it takes out the legs from the movement and puts all the focus on your back what you want !! Now go kill them brother

and something maybe a ZMA if it's affordable
??Question?: Is ZMA worth the $ or should I go with SOMETHING ELSE..like glutamine maybe??

BCAA
Glutamine
Creatine Mono
No need for ZMA to take over those building blocks of muscle if on a budget !!
