Everyone is doing amazing!!! I have had setbacks from no motivation to having the flu and not being able to work out for a week. I didnt take any supplements while I was sick since I didnt know how things would work with medicine. I bought some really cute skinny jeans that were 2 sizes too small and laid them across my treadmill. They will be the first thing I see in the morning and I am going to use them to kick my butt into gear.

the jeans are a greatttt motivator I did that as well and it feels AMAZING getting into them. Setbacks happen to everyone just don't quit and you will be just fine. keep it up and good luck!

Hello
I just started. I know I'm jumping in very late but it's worth the try. My diet is right on although I'm coming off of foot surgery so the cardio will not be as much as I like. I'm lifting hard and strong and can't wait to see the results.

All of my clothes including my socks are getting too big so I must be making some progress! I'm not posting any progress pics because I want to knock some socks off at the end of the contest! Hope you all reach your goals, and may the best lady win! Good luck to you all!

Fitday.com?????
Does anyone use the fitday.com site to track their food intake? I've tried but I forget half the time and then by the time I do remember, its days later and it messes up the average. Any tips?

Hi Holly854,
The prize money for the Hydroxycut Max! Transformation Contest on Bodybuilding.com is as follows.
1st Place ? A check for $5,000 along with a trip to your own photo shoot (including air fare and hotel accommodations).
2nd Place ? $1,000 worth of Iovate supplements from Bodybuilding.com.
3rd Place ? $500 worth of Iovate Supplements from Bodybuilding.com.
We currently have a number of contests running and the prize money for each varies. It's a good idea to read the Official Rules for each of the contests so you know exactly what it is you're competing for.
Good Luck and Great Health,
The Hydroxycut Max! Rep

Hi AprylLove,
In response to your above questions:
1. Yes, your Hydroxycut Max! purchases must be made through Bodybuilding.com. Purchases from any other retailer do not qualify you to take part in this competition.
2. You are not required to post progress reports or blog on your transformation in this thread, or anywhere else for that matter. This thread is mainly for discussion among participants. You're not discouraged from posting your progress either. Many use this thread for inspiration and to track their own progress against other competitors. So posting updates and pictures isn't required in this thread, but it is welcomed if you choose to do so.
3. Your Before and After photos must be taken with you wearing the same color and style of clothing. But as for them being the exact same articles, that's not necessary.
I hope that answers all of your questions and concerns.
If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to read through the Official Rules before asking.
Good luck with your transformation!
Great shape and good health,
The Hydroxycut Max! Rep

Rules Question

I read in the rules that you could use a magazine in your before photos, so I took mine with the February issue of Fitness RX, this was one week ago today. Is this ok, or does it have to be an exact date? If it has to be an exact date, I could retake them tonight, but I've already been on the Hydroxycut for a week now. The rules weren't very specific about the date needing to also have an exact day, I though it was just month and year, but just wanted to clear it up before I go any further. Thanks!

Hi Rachelw410,
Thanks for your interest in, and for entering, the Hydroxycut Max! Transformation Contest!
Unfortunately, you will have to re-take your Before pictures if you want to qualify for the Hydroxycut Max! Transformation Contest.
We require a newspaper or magazine that has an exact date (Star, Life & Style, National Enquirer or People, for example). Monthly magazines often hit store shelves up to a full month prior to their cover dates so using that as a measurement isn't accurate enough.
It was wise of you to clear this up before you got too far ahead into the competition.
Thanks for taking part and good luck,
The Hydroxycut Max! Rep

My trainer has me doing 45 min of cardio 6 days a week!
How is everyone doing? I am finally back to working out after injuring my back where my herniated disc is. I have slowly been working back up to my routine. I haven't pushed myself to much this week. I finally did 45 min of cardio this morning and will be doing weights tonight. Wish me luck my back doesn't give out on me again! That was NO FUN!
On a side note I did take some 2 weeks progress pics over the weekend but didn't see much difference (not sure if I will post them or not). I hope the 4 week pics shows a change!

I love fit day. I bought the program for like $30. it stays on your computer and it's much more user friendly then the online program. I highly highly highly recomend buying the program for your computer.

I like using fitday. This may not apply to everyone, but what helps me is putting in what I plan to eat for the next day (I'm going to put in my food for tomorrow tonight). I pretty much eat the same food...same breakfast, and the same staples for lunch and dinner. My "snack" meals are the same everyday too. So, it's pretty easy for me. But, like I said, it may not work for everyone. I like to pre-plan because then I know what I am packing for lunch and what meats I need to thaw so I can cook dinner! I also live alone and don't need to cook for anyone else which I'm sure helps.
So...Don't know if that will help, but pre-planning also helps me get my macro's right for the day. When I use to just use a food journal and write down what I ate....not what I planned to eat... I would get to dinner and have eaten WAY too many protein or too few carbs...
Hope this helps! and good luck!!!

wow seems like a lot for someone with a previously herniated disc, but you know your body best
You should be sure to take it easy during your cardio don't want to have to drop out from being wounded!

FitDay PC is awesome I really like all the graphs and reports though, I'm a dork like that
It also helps me when I need to know the macros and breakdown of a recipe I am making from scratch, I just enter in all the foods used and then divide according to serving, so easy. Did they raise the price? Mine was only $20 when I bought it, but they won't let me update to next version ~ I don't notice much of a difference though between the two.

When you start feeling rundown and tired all the time despite good nutrition and supps, you're probably doing too much. No matter how much you do though the big rule of thumb is to always take one day of complete and total rest, no lifting, no cardio. I always go by how active the lifestyle is; if your crazy busy, non-stop busy all day, you may need a bit less per week than someone with a very sedentary job/lifestyle.
My body will maintain weight, even doing 3 60-minute sessions per week, but at 5 40-min sessions I will drop weight easily. I am currently doing 3 sessions of advanced HIIT (using a sled and weights) per week, and 2 sessions of steady state cardio for 45 min ~ but have done 14x per week when prepping for a show, don't do that to yourself

Thanks for the concern! I herniated my disc about 7 years ago and after the two years of PT i was feeling fine until last week! I have been slowly easing back into it to see how my back does. Yesterday was the first day I really pushed the cardio (still not full out) and weights. So far so good! For cardio I am using the elipitcal and I am not putting it on to much of an incline as I think that would bother my back right now.
Well off to the gym to get my cardio in this morning and then tonight will be weights!
Have a great day everyone!
