Day 4
Day 4
Today was an off day from the gym. Had The Serum first this this morning. Then, a serving before lunch.
Ok, I can't help but find it depressing to take The Serum on an off day, feel the BA tingles, have lots of energy and to not go to the gym. I wanted to go to the gym so bad today... but, temperance, temperance, temperance. needed to rest this weekend.

Day 5
Day 5
You guys (and purdy gals) are absolutely right about the empty stomach thing. I had my afternoon shake at 3:00 and the gym at 5:30ish, I drank The Serum at 5:00pm (half hour before gym) BA tingles were nearly non-existent and energy was only so so until after the gym. For me, It looks like I need to wait at least 3 hours after my last meal to get good absorption.
I'm not gonna rate the Taste today... (besides, i don't think it's really gonna change from my earlier opinions) The only thing I have to say about today... make sure you wash your protein shaker cup thoroughly before you use it with The Serum. There's a reason you never see chocolate covered passion fruit in the supermarket... because it's totally nasty.
Also, on that same queasy note. Today I took my vitamins in the locker room after my workout, then drank The Serum. Oh man, for the next hour, i wanted to puke. Something with mixing the two... not a good idea. My vitamins consisted of a multi, zinc, b-complex, and calcium. My past workout days with The Serum i took my vits in the morning.
Anyway here's my workout... my lower back and hip were still giving me a bit of trouble so I went easy on the squats today, to see if I could just "exercise it out". And it was so stink'n packed today.
Warm-up (5min)
Front squats (these we completely pitiful today... cuz they were hurting like hell to do)
45 x 15
135 x 10
165 x 3
205 x 1
205 x 1
Leg Curls
145 x 10
165 x 10
185 x 10
Drop set
185lbs down to 90lbs x 25 reps
Iso Leg Extensions (weight is per leg)
75 x 15
100 x 12
120 x 10
140 x 8
160 x 6
Lunges
30's x 10
40's x 10
50's x 10
Calf raises on Smith while standing on step
90 x 15
180 x 15
270 x 10
360 x 10
180 x 15
Decline situps
BW+25lb x 15 (3 sets)
Side Bends
45 x 20 (2 sets)

Some pretty nice weight put up there. I guess everyone just has to find their right dosing times with Serum. It seems like sometimes people think its PERFECT and other times it makes people feel sick.
3 hours before Serum with no eating (3 and a half hours of no eating before the gym) seems like it might hurt your gains. Do you think maybe you could lower the amount of food ingested in that meal before Serum and it would work better?

I've been thinking about that.. because i hate having that much space between meals. I don't want my body munching on it's own muscle.

(Spent 2 hours grimacing in pain after having 2 scoops on a partially empty stomach my first try)

I agree - this would likely be catabolism time. Personally, I dont like to have Serum after a shake - a shake in the belly is very different from food in the belly. I eat a meal 1 hour pre-workout, then take Serum 10 minutes before going in and i feel like a superhero every time!

like they said might wanna drop the volume on the preworkout meal and have it a little closer. 3 and a half hours with no food + working out = losing muscle rather than gaining

Yeah, i'm gonna change up my eating schedule for the rest of The SERUM log. I'm gonna change it to where I have some solid food before the workout time instead of the shake. The shake is about an 800 calorie shake. Albeit, good quality calories but it needs to go.

Day 7 "insane In The Membrane..."
Day 7
Chest/ Tri/ Rear Delt
Today's workout was insane! Ok, first i decided to not change my pre-workout meal from the shake to the solid food. What I did instead was to take ya all's advise and have a smaller shake. I cut a third of the calories out of it. So, it was a 500 cal shake instead of nearly 800. I consumed The SERUM two hours after that. Then 15min later started the workout.
Having a smaller pre-workout meal helped ALOT! The energy and endurance was there! Today was a lighter day focusing on higher reps and incorporated FST-7 sets into my workout.
Incline fly's
20's x 12
25's x 12
30's x 12
35's x 12
Incline Press
135 x 10
145 x 10
155 x 8
165 x 8
HS press-down machine
130 x 12
140 x 12
150 x 12
160 x 12
Cable Fly's
25 x 12
25 x 12
25 x 12
25 x 12
25 x 12
25 x 12
25 x 12
Close Grip Declines
135 x 10
145 x 10
155 x 8
165 x 6
Standing DB Tricep Extension
55 x 12
65 x 12
75 x 12
Skull Crushers
50 x 12
60 x 10
60 x 10
60 x 10
60 x 10
60 x 10
60 x 12
Decline Sit-ups with tossed med. ball (8lb)
10reps x 3 sets
Rear Delt Fly's
15's x 12
15's x 12
15's x 12
Reverse Pecdeck Fly's
100 x 15
90 x 15
80 x 15
75 x 15
65 x 15
55 x 15
45 x 15
This workout went pretty quick and I thought i was going to throw up doing the reverse fly's. When the timing is right, i'm loving The Serum. And the pump was insane!!!!
