Im a hard gainer (my metabolism is insane), and am 3 weeks into my routine for the next 12. I'm currently running Muscletech Nitrotech Hardcore after each of my workouts, and just eating as much food as i possibly can each day. But i need even more. So for a hard gainer like myself?...im thinking UN Muscle Juice 2544...ideas? advice?

Yeah but it also has a full multivitamin mix i believe with 45% iron I believe, both of which is too much, if I'm already taking a multivitamin each day which I am on top of what I eat...and I get plenty of iron, don't want too much.

i used muscle juice for a bit. it's has a crazy amount of sugar and a lots of cals. It will def. help u gain weight but probably a decent amount of fat also. I don't think it's a high quality weight gainer.

MJ 2544 does have quite a bit of sugar and carbs but if ur not wanting to spend a load of money then it would work. I'd also recommend Real Gains by Universal...it is similar to MJ 2544 but with less sugar and carbs.

I don't think MHP's Up Your Mass is as clean as some of the other gainers out there, but for hardgainers/ectos like myself... I can highly recommend it.
It was great for putting on mass... I think the amount of mass put on was probably 50/50 lean at best but hey, it does what it says.

Is there really a difference on how "bad" and how "clean" a gainer is for you? As in terms of gaining mass? I read how people say one has lots of sugar or one is low in sugar or one has more of this and less of that. Will it really make a difference on GAINING MASS?
Obviously something with a lot of sugar isn't good for anyone, but from a gaining mass standpoint, does it really matter? I just want to figure out what is the best product for gaining mass regardless of whats in it.
I know you could say "just go out and try some yourself". Yes I could do that but I joined this forum to learn more about getting bigger and I want to narrow it down before I spend $500 trying every weight gainer or mass gainer out there.

I don't know if there's a scientific difference but this is how I think of it:
If you just want to gain MASS period, you can eat a lot of junk and work out like a monster. I tried it and put on about 30 pounds in 3 months, not a small feat considering my frame! That was on a "healthy" diet of weight gainers, chicken nuggets, Subway pastrami sandwiches, about 1 whole rotisserie chicken per day, etc., as well as lifting harder than I ever had before. (This was on MHP's Up your Mass, btw.) I was eating so much I felt like throwing up just THINKING about how much I was eating, or would have to eat every day.
At the end of it I was strong as an ox, and had put on inches around my chest and arm to boot. But also 3 inches around my waist. THAT was not a good thing. It took me some time to cut all the fat off, after which I also lost a bit of size overall but I was still bigger than when I started.
So that would be an example of I think a very "un-clean" way to gain mass. (I.e., for every 1 pound of mass gained, 60% of it was fat while 40% of it was muscle mass.)
When I think of a clean way, I think of putting on less mass per week, but having that mass be quality mass, i.e., 60% or more muscle mass to 40% or less fat per 1 pound of mass gained.
I've tried Real Gains, Muscle Juice (yuck in terms of how sweet it was!), but I keep going back to Up Your Mass. I just opened up a new jug now, but this time I'm going to try and keep the calories a little bit lower. I might not be gaining 2-3 pounds a week, but what I do gain I can hopefully keep even after cutting.

A 5 lb jug lasts about 3 weeks for me, I split each recommended serving into 2 servings with whole milk + peanut butter thrown in.
And yeah, I was eating everything in sight. Part of it was just wanting to see if I -could- gain that much weight. I've been skinny my whole life.
A typical day during that time might look something like:
Breakfast: Oatmeal, 3-4 hardboiled eggs (1-2 egg yolks), weight gainer shake w/ whole milk, banana.
Snack: Small bowl of mixed nuts, protein shake w/ water, 1-2 packs of $0.99 chicken nuggets.
Lunch: Yams, veggies, 1/2 a chicken, weight gainer w/ whole milk.
Pre/post-workout: More nuts, protein shake w/ water, $0.99 burger.
Dinner: Yams, veggies, 1/2 a chicken.
Before bed: Casein shake w/ whole milk.
!!! IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm not saying that was a good idea, or healthy, or even that I recommend it or would do it again. That's just what I did. PLEASE check with someone more knowledgeable before you OD on cholesterol....

Haha thanks for the note. I notice some people take protein shakes or weight gainer shakes in the morning, I have considered it but I don't know how much it will help. I should just man up and try it I guess. I've never tried whole milk before though.

tried 4 brands
I have tried BSN's True Mass, ON's Serious Mass, Cytogainer, GNC gainer and Muscle milk. The best tasting and easiest to mix was True Mass. But the best bang for the buck (value), taste and mixability overall was Serious Mass.

I bought some Cyto Gainer (6 lbs, Cookies n Cream) and would like to know something.
It is written 4 scoops per serving. Alright, but is it 4 FULL scoops or 4 scoops until the line on it ?
This is a weird question but thx anyway

it's 4 full, level scoops. maybe slightly rounded, but either way definitely above the line.

Mass XXX was decent i guess for me... gained about 6 lbs in a month, taste was pretty bad but i mixxed it with strawberries apple juice and milk and made it taste 10x better. lookin to try something else now..
i gained a bit of unneeded fat along with those 6 lbs so i wouldn't say it was great.

I have been on cytogainer for about a week and a half and I have gained 2 and a half pounds... I would like to stay around the same size... (6'1 195) but at the same time I want to get abs for the summer and lose fat but replace it with lean mass. Is this possible with this product and what should be a daily routine. I work out monday through thursday and try my hardest to run as often as i can... any suggestions would be greatly apreciated

gainer
I starting using Cyto Gainer and I love it. Got the product idea from someone that replied to this thread and thanks cause it's helping alot. The chocolate is the only flavor I have tried but it tastes great to me, even mixed in water.

cytogainer ftw if you have the money
vitamin shoppe store brand has exactly the same breakdown except with a few additional grams of carbs in it for 60% of the price... but more basic flavors though.
