Wanna Be Famous?
Well...I have a ravenous thirst for knowledge, and I enjoy sharing my passion with others.
Although my job does not involve being at a gym, my love for learning has brought me to BB.com, and my passion for fitness and nutrition has flourished since discovering this fantastic website.
I am an advocate for BB.com, as this is a website that has copious amounts of information that is not only thorough and informative, but incredibly motivating!
So when asked if I would want to be featured in a Bodybuilding.com magazine ad....I say..YES!!

Strong arm of the law
I was roughly 17 yrs old when I first showed an interest in bodybuilding. As a teenager I always considered myself the "skinny" kid in class. Weighing 125 lbs and not liking what I saw in the mirror, I felt it was time for a change. So I started tagging along with my older brother to the gym with high hopes and determination. I remember seeing my biceps getting their first pump and from that moment I was hooked.
For the next several years I began lifting pretty religiously. I read a lot of muscle magazines and soon discovered Bodybuilding.com. This website helped me bring my body transformation to new levels. I regularly browse the forums for great pointers and motivation. The online store is so convenient that all my supplements, vitamins, shakes and whatever else I need are just a mouse click away.
I'm now 36 and weigh 200 lbs and in the best shape of my life. Aside from bodybuilding, my other passion is law enforcement where being physically fit is a must. I am assigned to the K9 Unit and work 50+ hrs a week. I still manage to find time to workout daily and eat right.
For the last 3 yrs, I have competed in the Western States Police/Fireman Olympics (comprised of 11 states) . I have taken home the gold medal in Bench Press all three years! My personal best is a 352 lb lift at 175 lbs bodyweight. Thanks Bodybuilding.com for helping all my fitness goals.

I would Love the opertunity
I know you all have a lot to do so I won't waist your time with my life story. I'll just say that being a golfer I never experience much direction in which to go by while lifting; that was until I happened to stumble upon this website and learned from others vast knowledge. This website and members as a whole have done wonders for my physique. I'd love the opportunity and am welcome to provide more info/ pictures about myself.
Take Care,
Phil

Yes, it's still ongoing. Our marketing dept still references this thread when the create the new magazine ads each month!
In fact, here are some recent ones you may have seen in the mags:
(Some are magazine scans, so they look a little funny.)

I would love to be considered
I started out in 1999 as a skinny little kid and have over the years dedicate my self to the fitness lifestyle. I'm now a certified ISSA and NASM personal trainer and help spread my knowledge to others

Not the most amazing story but here I go
Here I go, I started out like all little kids watching action movies thinking all the heros in there were gods and impossible to be like. So what I stuck to was running around the house pretending to do karate moves making action movie sounds when hitting something haha.... Growing up I was very small born premature and with lots of breathing complications due to problems during birth. I was always small growing up and the only thing I had going for me was that I was always lean looking. 7th grade rolled around and a buddy wanted to join the wrestling team so we headed to the first practice in hope of being tough guys. Wrestling ended up being pretty natural sport for me but staying small was my goal so I would be stronger in my weight class. I didnt have time to weight train and didnt know what I was doing so I just stayed small. Ever since the 9th grade I have worked 20 hours a week to make due in life so I knew after I graduated if I was gonna try to gain weight and muscle I would have to make extra time to do so. And now I have worked anywhere from 40-78hours a week for the last 6 years and thats not even counting the real work (Transforming in the gym) I know this isnt suppose to apply to competitive bodybuilders but I consider myself the working man I still work a full time job and a part time job and find time to force my body to progress. I have now gained 76lbs since I have been lifting and won all three bodybuilding shows that I have entered and hope to keep being successful in the sport. I am not the guy that gets everything paid. So the full time job will stay until my success allows me to lower the work load.
Thanks for the time and oppurtinity this site has helped me stay motivated and has helped me build courage to get on stage.

I'm in.

My story in a nutshell is I was 35+lbs overweight, no muscle and busted an ankle back in Dec 07. After losing 20lbs from the lack of eating due to the pain meds, I started eating clean and was working out by that April (08)- so it's been a year now. I used to weigh 210, cut down to 170, and now I'm at 180 and have about 6 weeks left on my bulk.
