Thanks for the welcome, I'll try to keep up with the thread as much as possible. Im on a computer most of the day thanks to school anyways...for the most part just trying to pick up on a few things from everyone's experiences. Unfortunately they dont teach much of that at our officer program
Also, I read that workout of 7 pull-ups, 35 push-ups, 7 chins, and 7 dips a while back. Tried that the other day for something new and thought it was pretty killer!

liked the show, felt bad for the one AO that had a pregger gf leave him during the deployment, i think that was the most real thing on that show as i've seen it happen to many a shipmate.

I really missed out. The one reality show that I can relate to.
They should do a reality show on a Line Division on a squadron. That's what I always thought when I was working in one.
On another topic: Seeing the Psychiatrist on Monday. Maybe I'm crazy after all. Maybe they'll tell me I'm crazy for getting out and then I'll get disability. A good catch-22, I'd say.

Hey guys,
Quick question concerning advancement. I was told when I made third class and became frocked that from than on counted as time in rate towards second class by my previous CCC. He told me I would take the reserve second class test next month. I go in today and the new CCC tells me my TIR only starts when I get paid and I have to wait until august and they didnt order me an exam. I fukin pissed for two reasons:
1. I was studying the ATO2 second class stuff. After this cycle I merge to AWF and would be taking a completely different test, meaning all my studying was a waste.
2. The guy was being paid as a CCC and completely fuked me over.
any input?

I have not been a third for a year. In may makes one year. Which I was told is good enough to take the test since by the time the results come out I will have been a third for one year

One year from the exam you took to make 3rd is the first time you can take 2nd.
For example: I made 3rd off of the September 04 exam cycle, and the first time I took 2nd was September 05.

The NAVADMIN that announced this test cycle will have the effective TIR dates. It should be easy to find on BUPERS, too lazy right now to look it up for you

First of all, it's not too late to order an exam. Secondly, you can take it in March. Worst case scenario: You take the late exam, or you split with another 3rd up for second.
YN's have no business doing advancement tests anyway. Go see your command PS, or someone at your PSD.
