Going to basic at Benning next week guys. I know it's too late to do anything about it now, but I'm just wondering how many miles I'll be expected to run the first few weeks.

Being flatfooted shouldn't hinder you too much. Especially if you're already capable of running a "few" miles.

You mentioned the truck not the mods. I was thinking about getting a K&N with a mass air flow sense. Thats supposed to add like 25 pony. Then I want to get some flowmasters. Not sure which series yet.

I'm trying to remember my flowmasters...50 series(?). I can't remember now. It's got a good throaty growl to it but not overly so. It gets heard, but it's not annoying at the redlight when you're sitting next to me. The K&N is the ticket though. Great throttle response.

Oh yeah!...Just a K&N Air Filter alone, without the induction system, runs about $50.00, will convince you. Throttle response time is near zero.
I love the V8!

Kept her running til I needed 4WD (thanks, Drum) and now my dad drives her.
(and I thought parents were supposed to give their kids their old cars ... haha we're a lil backwards ...)

more like $4-5k i think.
a few years down the road i am considering getting a s/c kit for around $3k to make my slow ass v6 mustang a little faster than a stock gt. but.. i dunno. sinking 3k+ into an older car vs buying a newer car that would have higher insurance might be worth it.

Well you're more than one up on me. I gave up years ago when I realized there were more electronics than I could figure out. Hell I don't even change my oil anymore since 19.95 is better than taking up my time and energy.

Off to Benning for Ranger School tomorrow morning!
See y'all in a few months.
will need bulking tips and advice on quickly regaining strength, mass, and cardio. But that can wait... man I'm gonna lose so much weight.
