would MT be willing to give us a sample of the new product? I have been taking Hydroxycut about two weeks now, have not lost any weight, but I think I look as of I lost some fat. Positive thinking, maybe? Started on HaLO LAST WEEK , my bench is going up, squats improved a little. Awsome back work out Monday, still sore. It's been a long time since my back has been sore. It sure does feel good to know that you didn't waste your time in the gym I am married with 5 kids. I get up at 4:45 am do the the gym for my aerobics and abs, work at 7:30 till about 5 then back to the gym for my lifting. Having a hard time falling asleep until at least 10:30. Yesterday I fell asleep during spine surgery. No one noticed. OOPS is the last thing you want to hear when your doing back surgery LOL.

I've found that pre-exhausting your legs before doing squats helps for me. Most magazines show routines with legs proceeding leg extensions. I ALWAYS flip them around. I notice that I can do heavier squats and leg presses after leg extensions.

I've found that this is the best way too. I run first then do squats immediately after my running session so there for the blood is still fully pumping through my legs to push bigger gains. I do 6-8 reps of 10 sets. 2 sets for warm up, even though I already ran, and the last 1-2 reps to failure.
How many reps and sets do you do on your squats that gave you the best results?

As I mentioned, I always start with leg extensions. I'll do three sets of 10, with moderate-heavy weights. I'll then proceed to squats, doing 15, 12, 8, 6, 6, and 6. My last set is an additional six, but with the addition of possible failures, which usually have been only 1 or 2 more reps. Its grueling and sometimes nauseating, but I'm starting to see muscle separation, so I'm headed in the right direction, even if I feel like I need a wheelchair afterward! =)

Yup.
It's 250 words. How can you go wrong?
MuscleTech's transformation contest gave me such incredible motivation! I was excited to be part of this challenge. My goal was to tighten up my waistline and to increase my strength on the compound movements...
What's that, 25 words?
The finishing touches in my cutting efforts were providing by the FANTASTINCREDIBLOWYOURMINDYNAMITE supplement known as...
HYDRAZIDE!
Without this product I would never have been able to achieve that last but all important step on my journey to my most supah shredded look!
And so on and so on.
Seriously, how much do you think they weight the Befores and Afters versus the essay?

Essay:
I have been actively engaged in sports all my growing up in Alabama and also during my military career which I am presently enlisted in the Army. I can honestly say that I am giving my heart towards training for this contest as I have during my adolescent years of basketball. I guess you can say I inherited this passion from my father, because he's always been a big guy because of his love for the iron. I am on bodybuilding.com/bodyspace more than 4 times out of each day since I have been deployed in Iraq from 2004-2005 and 2007-2008. I Love it! I have had great results with a vast amount of MuscleTech products to name a few, Nano Vapor, Cell Tech, Hydroxycut, and Nitro Tech (strawberry, MMM! good).
My goal is to lose a total of 20-30 lbs durings this challenege. AND I WILL. I am 29 years old and i desire to become a spokesman for not only Bodybuilding.com/Muscletech but the bodybuilding/fitnessworld. It's deep down in my heart to become a fitness model and that will happen this year. I will flex my well proportioned muscle to the top. Remember in the famous word of Ricky Bobby (Talladega Nights) "If you aint first than your last." God Bless the other contestants for trying. Thankyou Bodybuilding.com and the MuscleTech family.

The judging criteria are all listed in the contest info:
Entries will be judged according to the following criteria (the "Judging Criteria"): (a) extent of an entrant's transformation (75%); and (b) how inspirational the essay is (25%). In the event of a tie, the essays of each tied entry will be judged an additional time until a potential winner is determined.
Notice that the essay is the final determining factor--$10,000 hanging on 250 words.

Seriously, there will be no tie and the essay is a non-factor. Look at rescuemadden. DECISIVE PHYSICAL/VISUAL TRANSFORMATION! Yeah, I'm sure he wrote the required essay, but what MuscleTech voted for was the Pa-ZOW! BIF! BAM! KAPOW!
A guess. But, hey, go ahead and sharpen your pencil.

I don't have a lot of choice, if I go straight to the squats, or even presses, my knees sound like popcorn, and it feels like little invisible elves are stabbing me there with dull knives, LOL! I always warm up with leg bicep curls first because I hate them, then a couple sets of quad extensions, then I can go for the heavy lifts with little or no pain. Plus, if you preexhaust the muscles individually, then you can do lighter poundages with your compound motions and still get good effects, as long as you are still training to failure.

Sure, last year rescuemadden made the best transformation without a doubt. This year (and subsequent years) the competition may be closer. If there are two that offer the " Pa-ZOW! BIF! BAM! KAPOW!" then the judges will re-evaluate the essays to determine the winner.
Hopefully, if the contest is that close, my essay will put me out front.
Have fun!

Can anyone please answer for me: Can I continue my transformation until the end of the contest or do my final progress pics have to be posted at 12 weeks?
Thanks

You have until May 7th I believe. They were asking for a minimal of 12 weeks. Some of us started Jan 1st which gives a little more time. The winner last year started late also.

Chromeyellow,
After trying pretty much all of the available Cell-Tech Hardcore flavors, my personal favorite has got to be Orange. I don't know if you've tried it yet, but I find that I can drink it everyday and not get tired of it. As for the sweetness, that's something you're going to get with every flavor. The 75 grams of HPLC-certified dextrose is part of what makes Cell-Tech Hardcore the effective musclebuilder that it is.

Essay - I'm in
I've been a member here since 2006 and that was when I really wanted to make a difference in my health and overall appearance. Since then I've learned a lot, worked out a lot, made successes, struggles, and been frustrated and yet satisfied at the same time. I've been battling being overweight since being a senior in high school which is coming up on 10 years very soon!
This challenge will push me towards a better physique and I hope to be inspired and inspire along the way. Once I saw this challenge I had to try for it. I mean, why not? What is there to lose? WEIGHT!
For the contest I will be using Hydroxycut Hardcore 210 capsules to catapult me to the finish line. Good luck everyone!!!
jcosley
EDIT: I have posted progress pics for the start of this contest on monday.

Check-in
Haven't posted in a while, comeback is taking shape after the shoulder injury last semester at school. I'm gaining some strength back slowly but def, surly. Shoulders are the weakest, and then biceps... which i am planning on hitting 2 days/wk to get them back and then some.
Minor setback though, i've been sick for about a week now. always happens to campus in the first month or so of a new semester, bug goes around, everyone gets it... just gotta dig through and keep eating well. Took about 3 or 4 workout days out though. I'm not exactly 100% yet, but its just some after-**** and i can deal with it at the gym. Diet is a notch below awesome because i buy all my food, i only get lean meats, fresh foods and whole grains... none of the cafe food for me.
Muscle Tech supps are DEFINITELY helping me get my body back to where i left it over summer. I am feeling great in the gym, even though i'm not putting up as much as i used to, i still am banging out reps clean and smooth, I actually got a sic ass pump in my delts the other day! It used to happen to me sometimes, but the naNOX9 is really bringing the vaso-dilation!!! i can't wait for tomorrow, i'm bringing back an all-arms day!! bis-tris-fores... i won't be able to shower hopefully =) Halo is awesome, and i dunno if the Leukic has started to work yet, but i'm pretty much assuming it has a lot to do with the speedy comeback. Can't wait to try other products, MT is very quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
Hopefully some progress pix by the end of next week when i'm 100% and have 3 weeks of heavy lifting under me

Did anyone notice the fine print, stating that: "(c) all Pictures must be taken with you wearing the same color and style of clothing; (d) you must have substantially the same hair-style and (if applicable) makeup in each Picture."
I just had my hair redyed, since it was starting to fade, before taking my before pics on Saturday. I just wanted to point that out, as in all the excitement, many may have easily overlooked that small detail. I am going to assume that this also applies to tattoos.

Thanks for the info. I have the orange flavor Halo and love that. Do you know if they taste pretty much the same? If so, I'll definitely give that a try when the raspberry runs out.

Anyway, I saw where it was confirmed that you can, indeed, enter both this contest and the hydroxycut contest. I have a question.....
Can I *WIN* both contests?
Winning this contest won't disqualify me from winning the hydroxycut contest, will it? Will a MT rep clear this up? Thanks!

Hey Izmanv,
Yes, you are correct that you're able to enter both contests. If you meet the requirements set out in the official rules for each contest, you could be eligible to win both competitions. Great question, thanks for inquiring.
