The thread has gotten quiet .... who knows?! ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZz ....
I am thankful it is Friday - however that makes **** of a difference to me. I am a grad student which means I work 7 days a week .... sadly. So I will be working/working out/attending a research group dinner/hoping to generate some sign of social life ... nada otherwise.
Good luck with the mini - its not that hard - just don't stop running. Ran it a few years ago in 1:33:26 That's when I was in better cardiovascular shape than I am now.

Thanks, its not til May, so I have alot of training still ahead of me. More or less I just needed something to do lol. First time for everything I guess. I'm wondering if this much cardio will hurt my gains, like 2-3 miles a day. I guess we will see lol.

It will slow you down for sure .... but only if you don;t balance out your nutrition appropriately. if you are going to run 2-3 miles a day - you need to make sure you are feeding yourself extra - that way your muscles still have some stuff to grow on. I ran track $ field through college and was able to bulk pretty easily ... so its possible.
It will slow you down though ... that's a given.

One other thing too ... the mini is an experience. I loved every minute of it. You will barely notice the miles go by because there is so much cool stuff you pass by. I am not talking about Indys Ghetto that you run through ... but the bands that are playing live music every 2 blocks you run.
I ran it with a friend - so it was nice having company as well. Its cool running around the Indy 500 track with all the cars sitting on the track - you can even pay like $500 and go do a lap during the mini in an Indycar lol.
Its pretty cool ... and once you finish its a pretty nice finish line as well - you will get your photo haha. Good times.

That sounds awesome, I'm hoping that I can get into it, cause it is already sold out from what I hear. But there might be some ppl that drop out before then so I dont know. but there is another mini two weeks later in Giest, that if i dont get into the mini Im going to get into it. Either way it will truely be an experience.

My car got stuck in the parking lot of the gym. I got out and pushed and like three cars left the parking lot and just looked at me.

Serious body builders
Guys this is my first year to try to not just work out and be real about body building. Does anyone know where I can pick up beef liver tabs? The ones you have to eat a million a day of? Universal makes them and Beverly does also. I want to just go pick them up. Any idea's?

SuperFit on 96th between Keystone and Allisonville, next to the Blu Martini lounge. Call first. Maybe easier to order em online...

I dunno. I guess like any supplement, you gotta see if it works for you. Creatine doesnt do a damn thing to me. Nothing. I was told some people arent receptive to it. Just gotta try it. It cant be too expensive anyway.

Lafayette here!
I am new to the site (signed up just a few days ago). I was wondering what methods you all use to calculate body fat or what you might recommend. I have been looking at FatTrack gold or FatTrack Pro, but didn't know how accurate they can be.

Welcome Tausha!
Body fat percentage is best measured by using calipers! No type of machine, hand held device or other will give a more accurate measure of body fat. Down side to calipers is that you will probably need someone to help you - as there are measurements taken on your back.
Here is one place that can guide you on what you need:
http://www.ehow.com/how_4694932_calc...-calipers.html
And here is more info with good links to what to do and where:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/drobson98.htm
Good luck!

SuperFit used to be called Healthkick, was run by Ryan Benroth, a super great guy and former competitor. Ryan recently sold the biz to the current owner, Clay.

Yeah the potholes are really bad but our ability (or lack of) for snow removal is one to boggle the mind!

Thanks for the help! Any advice on Creatine, or anything else that I may benefit from? I have read it helps build muscle faster.
Also if anyone can recommend a good fat burner it would help alot. Some that I have been looking at (read about them in an article on the site) are Man Scorch, S.A.N Tight and Lipo 6x.

If I had to pick a fat burner,I would pick Gaspari Cytolean. I used it for a bit, and it was really good.
