need help with program

ive been working out for a weeks now but never have a plan going into the gym.

i was thinking i would try something like this, doing 3-4 exercises each body part for 8-10 reps;

day 1: chest/triceps
day 2: back/biceps
day 3: shoulders
day 4: legs
day 5: rest
day 6: chest/triceps

i want to lower my body fat a little bit therefore i would do cardio about 4 days a week, my main concern is overtraining and i wanted to know if this routine should ok for me to start off with, if not any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I need more information...what exercises for each muscle? sets/reps? cardio session lenght?
But I would bet a lot that you are not getting into overtraining...Maybe if your workouts + cardio sessions togheter lasts more then 2 and a half hours, high intensity...

Btw, why are you doing chest/tri 2x per week, and the other muscles only 1x per week? ches/tri lagging?
