Knee ACL itching little pain

I searched ACL and most of the stuff was people about to have surgery.
Well I tore mine completely 4 years ago
went through rehab
was in shape
got out of shape YUACK

now getting back into shape

here is the image in my mind

muscle is conected to your bones by special ridges I'll call them on your bones I'm imagining my muscle growing and pulling more on the screws and the cadaver in my knee aahhhh

although complete rational tells me your muscle can't grow THAT fast

but from lifting my knee is itchy
could this be the scar tissue reforming
and sometimes painfull
for example when doing leg curls.....even with easy light weight the pain is uncomfortable.....so I don't do them

just curious if anyone has experience with this
obviously if it continues or gets worse I'll contact an ortho professional!! :-)

I don't follow you exactly. How long ago was your surgery? What sort of screw do they use? Can they see them in Xray?

I've read that strong hamstrings can help protect ACL.

i had a similar injury (and did not opt for surgery)...in physical therapy, i did not do the complete range of motion for squats, lunges or leg presses until the strength in my knee had increased. wall sits and step ups (and other exercises to strengthen the quads and hamstrings) helped but it took 2-3 months.

Acl

Peep gave some good advice. I must be careful with mine as well so its not locking my knee mostly. Leg curls haven't given me any problem. The itching doesn't sound like an internal issue. Wiping down dirty machine?? LOL Just be careful and don't think you have to go heavy. Good form & squeeeze! CV
