i may just substitute more lifting but don't want to slow down what I have in motion
get on the stationary bike. i do that when my knees or feet hurt from running and you can get the intensity up without putting so much stress on your feet

Smile Great to See

I think it's great to see everyone trying to better themselves. Whether it's for the money or just to get in shape, it will end in the same spot. This is my first contest of any sort so I'm excited to see what happens. When you get a chance, can you take a look at my pics to make sure that they are taken correctly? I'd hate to get in the middle and find out that I missed something

http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/BigNummy/

Thanks and good luck to everyone.

I'm In!

I just signed up... this is just what I need to get motivated and get my butt in gear!

A quick question though... Are there any supplements that I could order from MT that are geared towards women and don't have stimulants in them? I tend to be very sensitive to stimulants and have tried taking Hydroxycut Hardcore before but ended up with the jitters, headaches, and an upset tummy. (I know, my system is wimpy! :-)).

I will try to get my before pictures taken this weekend and posted.

You can buy Hydroxycut Caffiene-Free from the bodybuilding.com store, I have some, it's pretty good stuff!

It all burns cals, but if "your goal is to reduce body fat and you have been relatively inactive, you will need to train at a level of 60 to 70 percent of
your maximum heart rate. This is still within your comfort zone and allows you to exercise at a steady pace for a long enough time to burn off a substantial number of calories."

Yo, Big Al, you recognize that quote? Or rather the source of that quote?

Anyway, depending on your age and fitness level then, yes, that speed is adequate for burning cals sufficiently to burn body fat.

I have often done cardio at a 3.5 pace with a next-to-zero incline and only about 110 bpm heart rate. Definitely beats standing still for fat-burning.

I'm two weeks in

Hey guys I'm now officially two weeks in and have lost a little over two inches from my waist. Been doing two short cardio sesssions every day, except none in the evening after a leg workout. Weight has come down somewhere around 12lb. No cheating either, but every third or fourth day I double my oatmeal for first breakfast and my sweet potato for first lunch. This seems to be working great for me. Haven't bonked during a workout yet and am getting stronger. Keep working guys!

Thumbs up It's ON!

It's on like a thong!

Uh... okay, I have no idea where that came from.

But I do know where my NitroTech came from - the local GNC and their BOGO (half price) deal. Same price as BB.com and no waiting! Sorry, guys. I feel guilty.

The instant gratification overwhelmed me, yo.

So, I have my Hydrazide purchased courtesy of BB.com and now some protein powder as well.

Was REALLY worried about purchasing their protein. The last time I bought NitroTech I thought it tasted awful. Forget what flavor I had as it's literally been years. Opened the chocolate (check that seal in the pic above) and it's bangin. Also purchased cookies and cream. Should be into that tub in about ten days.

I'm on a four shakes per day diet (and one real meal). Also have a cheat DAY each week.

Oh, crap. I didn't notice you were a Canadian.

I think it's U.S. only. And even then they're required by Arizona and Vermont law (believe that was the reason explained) to disqualify those two states as well as your entire frickin country.

I'm really excited about this. I needed a little extra motivation to go the extra mile and all the excitement around this competition has done it for me. I need to get my other poses downloaded.

Watch out I'm here to win this baby!

I'm on a four shakes per day diet (and one real meal). Also have a cheat DAY each week.[/QUOTE]

You can burn more fat by eating whole foods. It has a higher thermogenics. Plus don't you think four days will make you a little constipated? It's about time you start suffering right along with the rest of us. Be strong.

No Canadians allowed

Well I'm still going to do the dam thing and make them wish they allowed Canadians in the contest. I even rented Rocky 4 and Pump It by Arnold. lol. I just dont have the same motivation (prize) as you do. But good luck to all, and if you want something to push you harder, just go get a Flex mag. Last winner is on there.
