forearm pain

hi i was lifting about 140 pounds on upright rowing the other week and somethings gone.its on my right forearm near the elbow and it feels like the bones bruised and muscle.i cant quite pin it down where but its near the elbow joint.the weird thing is ive carried on lifting through pain but when i try to pik up say a cup it hurts as well!wen u bend your arm and feel that muscle covering the elbow its that one.why its done it on rowing ive no idea i think its the pulling up motion to my neck splaying the elbows out.im still building great muscle but im tired of the pain even when im lifting just a cup!!any ideas?

Unhappy forearm pain

Dude, I'm experiencing the same pain, in the same arm, and in the same spot. Mine has been bothering me for two months. Like you I continue to work through it, but it hurts event when I lift books and small items. I talked to my doctor about it, and he suggested that my injury didn't come from lifting at all. He believes it comes from the extensive use of my fingers and wrist. Its a form of tendonitis in the tendons that run from your fingers to your elbows. I type a lot of reports on my job and I have been a drummer for years and recently increased my playing. He believes my pain comes from overuse. But what do i do? I am going to keep lifting, I enjoy drumming, and I need my job. So for now I grit and push through it.

I think possibly working the muscles that pull the fingers outwards or, extended out could help? Since typing and just in general, the inner part of your hands are working a lot, especially when typing so if you work to balance the other force on the fingers it could help? I read something like that somewhere that it supposedly helps. I mean it makes sense, to me at least.
