x2; as long as she doesn't have any medical limitations, she'll benefit like anyone else.
I'll second the suggestion of a 3-day-a-week, full-body routine. She will definitely
need to train with someone who is experienced, to get her started correctly. Very light weight, to start out, and just a set or two of several exercises.
