diet

Has anybody heard of the warrior diet? It seems to be like what sumo wrestlers do...they train on an empty stomach and then have one huge meal at the end of the day. They say that forces the visceral fat under the skin and easy burnt off as energy unlike normal fat that is actually stored under the muscle. If u ate one huge meal and burnt off that amount or more of calories u could still lose lb correct? More cal out than in equals loss of lb. I have found so many studies that say bodybuilders eat 6+ times a day but I think I have came to the conclussion that they do that to not feel hungry and get in the. Big amount of cals needed daily bc its so hard to eat that much in fewer meals. So y could I not just eat one big meal a day after I train or maybe one before and after training...not right before but earlier in the day just as long as my cals are under maintainence I don't see y this wouldn't work. There r studies on everything that proves everything right and wrong so if people say they can't eat 12x a day it actually should only be meal timing and calories not more if u can condense ur meals and deal with hunger. Any thoughts anybody? I don't know everything just looking for advice from someone that may know more about this stuff. I mean the people that really know maybe certified of years of knowledge not like read the last flex mag and think they r a pro haha no offense.

[QUOTE=dmpenwell;276055201]Has anybody heard of the warrior diet?
never heard of it. Personaly I would rather eat and look Jay Cutler than some 300+ Sumo wrestler. it takes about 2-3 hours to digest a meal. If there are any extra calories that your body does not use in that time spand it stores it as fat. That is the theory at least. some say eat your largest meal in the morning and your smallest meal at night, that should give you plenty of time to burn off everything. also, by eating every 3-4 hours it should keep your metabolism elevated, less chance for cravings to kick in and eating something stupid. But, you can be our guinee pig and try it and let us know how it works for you.

Looking good everyone! Congratulations to all of you that avoided temptation and stuck to your diets while watching the games yesterday. It looks like this year’s contest is shaping up to be even more competitive than last year’s. Please feel free to ask myself or any of the other MuscleTech reps any questions you may have. Good luck!

i think the main reason for smaller, more frequent meals is to prevent a spike in insulin production, minimizing the conversion of ingested calories to fat. also to keep your metabolism high

B - Be so kind there seems to be a lot of confusion about this aspect,
one has stated to me you have to have a national paper, yet I used
a local large City paper and showed and enlargement of the date,
we have ask the mediator if that is ok and they stated it is?!

Please be so kind and confirm these aspects for me.

Thank you best regards.

Also the definitive list of newspapers - as far as I'm aware - has NOT been posted.

Good luck, however, on getting a response to these questions from anyone with some actual juice or authority. I'm still not clear on whether pics are necessary in this thread and I received the PM from Victor. Bah!

And the question about newspapers has been asked seemingly COUNTLESS times to no @#$%$ing avail. Unless I just missed the "prompt reply." (cough)

Hey kenwoodjens1 and Curt,

There has been a lot of discussion on the types of newspapers that we are accepting for transformation photos. It's always best to use a national newspaper, such as the USA Today, Washington Post or New York Times. This is because newspapers with a large distribution are easier for us to validate versus a newspaper with a smaller distribution such as a local, municipal newspaper.

Thanks,

Sean

Looks as if i'm not going to be competing in this contest beside, even if i or Todd or the other runners-up were to make another dramatic change for this contest..i dont see MT chosing us. In my opinion if we were chosen, it would detour other people from entering future contests. But the wife, her sister and my buddy are going strong. So far my wife nataliedinh(bodyspace name) is down 8.5lbs in 2 weeks so we're right on track and her sis is down 8lbs and my good friend is down over 13lbs.

Nonetheless I about 90% certain i'll be competing in the Hydroxycut Hardbody contest and then following up with Junior Nationals!!! Diet time starts 03-20-09!

I wish everyone good luck and keep reminding yourself about the end result...mind, body and money All and all you're going to feel like a million bucks once you've completed your transformation!

Great news the cardio is working! My 1st week was kinda a wash but I'm getting stronger and leaner every week. Last week I lost .5 inch on my waist, and since I've stepped up the cardio I've already lost another WHOLE inch. I'm finnally moving away from false motivation to the real thing.

In other news, I got off track the last couple days with my diet, I do that on occasion when im trying not to. Im not going to dwell on it or figure out why it happens, i know why, I like food. Im just going to get back on track and kick it into gear, thanks to everyone who is being inspirational. Back on track and on my way....................

dam, dam, with all this training and dieting its making my blood sugars low. And the only way to make it go up is with carbs. Its hard being a diabetic and doing this thing. oh well, Its just another thing slowing me down but isn't going to stop me.

Hello, I want to enter this contest! I'm a Canadian citizen, but I'm currently attending High School in Vermont. I'm only 17, but I am pretty sure that I can get my parents to sign a release for me, since my dad works for Iovate Health Sciences, and my mom is a mod here at Bodybuilding.com. My dad bought me a bunch of Muscletech suppliments for Christmas, so I probably don't need to buy anymore, correct?

I don't have a BodySpace page, so I'm using my brothers'. I posted a couple of pics with my best poses, but I've blacked out my face, so my buddies won't be making fun of me at school! And I didn't do that Most Muscular one, since it makes me look like a crab, Lol! But there's still a couple of pics where you can clearly see me holding my high school newspaper, although my thumb kinda covered up the date by accident, so I sort of photoshopped it back in. Oh, and don't worry about my long hair covering up my back in that shot, I plan on shaving my head before the end of the contest anyway!

I don't write very well, so I had my sister write up a cool essay for me, and I've posted it in my brother's BodyBlog, if you want to read it.

Good luck to everyone, see you at the finish!! Oh, and one last question....

Can anyone tell me how to post my pictures in the thread?

(just kidding! )

I agree!!! I would like the money; however, I have something to to prove to myself and all the HATERS! This comp has fostered a revelation: I have to go to unseen limits to get where I want to be. It has proved me with motivation and determination to compete with everyone. I am a warrior, the fight is what I live for. I have plenty of MT supps...thanks to Soldiers complaining that the PX didn't carry much. I what to know if I should use Myoshock or Halo? Now, it's up to me, TeamFace! I will come with 100% effort! I will give everyone a run for their money. I plan to bring a mean, lean, full 220-225 package! I'm going for broke. I am lifting heavy for reps! TeamFace.... all the way, baby! I'm in Camp Bucca. Good luck to all.
