Did we vote in Obama to have a black president?

He was in the right place at the right time. The media singled him out as the most "qualified" candidate. He got TONS of publicity, and he was a democrat running at a time when most of the American public was tired of republicans (even though the Democratic majority Congress is seeing single digit approval ratings).

Obama was elected because he wasn't a republican. He was of a different party than the one in power currently (the same that presided over an economic crisis). People don't care who/what caused their problems, they just go opposite of the easiest most discernable observation. Democrats have pulled ~90% of the black vote in this coutry for decades. Obama pulled close to the same percentages as Al Gore of the black vote.

Obama ran a much better campaign then McCain. McCain made more small mistakes than Obama and one larger one (his VP choice). Any discernable American knows neither major candidate would've been able to do much for the current economic problem. The problem I see a lot of you are having is, how people were captivated by a simple campaign. Take a marketing course, you'll be able to see it better.

There was a mere 6% difference in the popular vote, in all honesty if the democrat nominee had not been obama there's no telling what may have happened

No; I won because I am dedicated to truth and principle, including most specifically the principle that positions of authority should be awarded on the basis of merit, which is a principle you and the rest of the far-left weaklings hate. Alright!! These clips are taken of some very ignorant people that had no business voting, but I think that it is just as ignorant to imply that most of the black race voted in this light.

During the primary season, I myself felt Joe Biden had the most appeal to me. The race vote was also a double sided sword, there were a lot of people who did not vote for Obama because he has some black in him. The funny thing was the ignorance after the election. There were people flags with monkeys on them in their yard, and had black dolls hanging form trees. As a cop I was like seriously.
