Bicep tendonitis
have any of you ever experienced this? the pain is where the forearm meets the bicep...if that makes any sense
Its been a nagging injury for a while..just got pretty serious today when i had trouble benching.....
question is...do i see a doctor or take some time off and see where it goes from there?

Pain when benching...not a good sign. I would see a doctor and do the regular rest/ice/stretching/nothing heavy routine... good luck

Rest it and throw some ice on it, I just got over some tricep tendonitis and it was horrible but after about 10 days I was back to good. If you're like me the only time I go to a doctor is if I am almost dead or a routine physical

you know, ive been having some pain recenly in my bicep as well. for some reason though it only hurts if i use a straight bar for curls, or if do db curls (the supination of the arm), which for the longest time NEVER hurt at all.
it doesnt hurt at all if i use an ez-bar though. do you have similiar issues?

Hammers were the worst..but it got worse to the point anything hurt it lol...kinda weird

i took off 10 days from any upper body lifting. started back up this week, and it hurt still like i said with bb curls, db curls and hammers. curls with EZ and preacher with EZ didnt hurt it, neither did anything with cables.

becareful
hey guys just wanted to say i hurt my elbow 4 weeks ago.yeah thats right 4 weeks ago and i still havent been able to do upper body yet.i kept on just dealing with the pain and working out, well now it cost me. all it took was one more rep and that was it i was heading to the doc as soon as i left the gym.i ate 800mg ibro 3 times a day for like a week. it didnt matter what i did if i put just a small amount of stress on my elbow in every day life. i was in pain.so becareful guys i get to start back next week but the doc told me to take it slow and no heavy weight or i will need surgery possibly next time.so i would say if it continues to hurt and more often.go to the doc or atleast slow down on the stress you put on it.

I had this. it really sucked.
its from overuse.
only way i got rid of it was high doses of advil + time off... adn restricting all bicep related lifting to a single day per week. ie back + biceps one day a week.
improved after 2 months. by 6 months it was gone.

if its serious enough it takes 6-12 months for it to heal. Never aggravate it because when its hurting its the body telling you you injured it. I made this mistake and have paid for it dearly.
