You've definately got a shot at it if you put in the work.
All you can do is sort your diet out and hit the gym and see how well you progress.
Good luck.

Anyone has a shot if they put in the time and effort.
That said, you're not close to being fat or truly out of shape, you should do fine if you really want it.

when first starting out, make a routine. keep your diet consistant via convenience. i cook my meals ahead of time so i dont think twice when its time to eat.
reguards to training, know what you're going to do before you hit the gym. know what rep range you need to be in. factor cardio into your workouts.
after that, come back and you can ask about supplements.

Great progress and with some added fitness and a strict diet you could be one of the top some day! "Dreams can be made true!"

- Don't overdo cardio
- Don't be afraid of looking like a man if you use heavy weight. You won't unless you are on seroids. Lift heavy.
- Don't focus on weight loss only. The mirror is a better judge than the scales.
- Get plenty of protien and fats. Helps recovery and every other part of your body. You can live without carbs, but NOT protien or fat.

Ive said this before and now again... Pics suck! Anyone has the ability to train, diet and step on stage. The question becomes who has the ability to run the "500 mile marathon". In specific your body fat% should be taken down to 10 or below, you need to do resistance training, you need to find your max heart rate, (everyones is different meaning age and gender have nothing to do with max HR) train in the 60-70% range, dont let people blow your head up or get you down. YOURE the judge! Oh if you are new get educated keep asking questions like I DO!

If structure is not way off (and yours it is fine) any female has a shot at figure. Just a question of time and correct training and nutrition.

Nice work on dropping the 12lbs.. My girlfriend (Mary too) is the same height as you and is looking to shape up as well. I think her biggest problem is diet, she wants it bad but hasn't really figured out a good diet and been strict about it. I think she's getting more motivated by seeing how into it I am lately though and trying to get into working more.
Do you like being the height you are, my girlfriend wishes she was a little taller but personally I think she's fun sized and I wouldn't change a thing. She makes me feel taller, that's worth something.
Good luck with your goals!

I think you have a nice solid foundation to start off on body wise. Your body is fine right now and with the diet and training you should def be where you want to be. Amazing you lost 12 lbs you look fantastic right now! Please keep up the hard work and just put your mind into and you can do it! I'm looking forward to see your progress!

you're already ahead of the curve by deciding to do something about the lifestyle that often goes along with college before it got out of hand. you'll never be a contender for the most dramatic transformation, and i mean that as a compliment. you've got a decent base to start with, but you gotta be in it for the long haul if you want to take advantage of it.
id say for a short term goal, maybe 4-6 months, shoot for a leaner 125 and go from there. maybe 9-10ish % bf. i'm sure you could do it quicker if you really want to, but like an above poster already said, this kinda lifestyle isn't a sprint to the finish. burnout and regressing can be worse for motivation than no progress at all.
