I'm so glad you're doing this!!!! You're always a fun read
What are your workouts looking like these days? I start my winter "bulk" next week. Gotta get these skinny sticks, er legs, bigger!
My workouts now are intense. I've been lifting insanely heavy! I do cardio 2 x a week because when I start cutting the first week in December I'll be doing it 2 x a day for 5 - 6 times a week so I'm taken it easy with the cardio until cutting season is here.

Yeah, I'm over the PTs. I've wasted my money on them as it is. I have the discipline and determination to learn how to do it on my own. Those qualities and bb.com is all I need.
Oh and welcome to our BIG world.

It's like night and day. It varies A LOT! Right now I eat lots of veggies, brown rice, oatmeal, fish and turkey which is 80% of my diet. The other 20% are cakes, brownies, honey buns, and cookies. HA! I eat this way so when I am cutting I don't regret not eating them because all that will stop during my cutting phase.
I'm going to do something different for this cut. I'm going on a low carb high protein with moderate fats diet. This type of diet eliminates water retention so I won't have to worry about that this go around.

How are you feeling now that your eating meat again?
I actually feel good because I spend less time in the kitchen prepping my meals. That's the one thing I hated about cutting while being a vegetarian was all the time I spent preparing my meals to meet my caloric needs.
Now all I do is put some fish on the grill or bake turkey, add veggies or complex carbs and I'm done!
Whoo Hoo!

Speaking of heavenly bliss, what are you eating on thursday?
Oh WOW! What a sad life I live. When I read you post I asked myself "Thursday? What's so different about Thursday? Then I went to the calender and it said Thanksgiving Day" LOL!!!!!
All of my family is up North (Washington DC, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, etc). I haven't been there for thanksgiving in over 16 years. The year I became a vegetarian was the year I stop going home for thanksgiving. I didn't want to deal with the drama nor did I want to deal with all the stupid vegetarian questions. My folks don't know that I stop vegetarianism recently. Hell! They don't know that I'm into bodybuilding. The only person in my family who knows is my sister.
So to make a long story short. I'll be eating the same thing I've been either offseason. Fish, Turkey, brown rice, oatmeal and cookies.

For the past few months I've been getting several emails from tall women asking for advice on losing weight, building muscles, competing or all three. When I started lifting weights 2 years ago I had no idea I would get this far. I still have a long road ahead of me so I decided to create a journal geared towards Tall Women.
Now before I begin let me tell you what I consider "Tall" for a female. A woman who is 5'9" or above is considered tall in my book. All women six feet and over are considered Amazons. I know the NPC consider 5'7" to be tall but I consider that a joke! It's obvious that many "Tall" females shy away from the competition stage and honey let me tell you...........I was one of them. When you see the tallest female competing at 5'7" and you stand 6'2" (without heels) you tend to second guess these things.
This year I competed in 3 bodybuilding competitions and next year I'm going to enter the figure division. So now that it's offseason I am at a point where I have learned a lot of DO's and DON'TS for tall women. I am going to use this journal to jot them all down in hope to help others like myself who had no clue on how to get started in female bodybuilding.
So my journey is dedicated to women 5'9" and over. If you are tall and have some information to share with other tall women please feel free to join in.
This journal is sensational and I 'm glad I came across it!!

do you pack a cooler now that you are cutting? Are you doing anything to cut this time around?
Now that I'm cutting I don't have a life so the only time I leave my house (now that it's cold) is when I am going to the gym, grocery shopping, or running errands. I'm self employed so most of my meals are eaten here at home. However, I take a tupperware container of food to the gym to eat after I finish working out because once I finish my workout it's time to eat again.

Love your new avatar by the way....but on topic I have question about lunges LOLOLOL....do you ever do walking lunges and if so can you tell me how? I have tried them two ways and I keep tripping. LOLOL I should be laughing but the girl who showed me is all of 5 feet tall and she does it like nothing. Maybe I have balance envy?

Yes, I love doing walking lunges. Actually, if I can't walk my lunges then I won't do them at all.
All tall people have balance problems when they start lunges for the first time. This is why I use a bar over my shoulders rather than doing them without weights.

Im so happy that I FINALLY found this forum. I have been battling with wondering what I need to do differently when Im training. And I always said I didn't want to compete because I feel like a GIANT when Im in heels and the women I see in the competitions always seem so short. But now I feel like maybe this could be something I do.

They are short but that's what makes us so special. I'm not saying we are better but I too taught the same way as you when I went to my first comp as a spectator. We as tall women will always take our height into account when it comes to getting on stage, especially in the figure category. In local shows the tallest woman there is 5'7" or 5'8". There's never been any females taller than that. This is why the final height category for women is 5'7" and over. When taller women start competing they will raise the final height category higher. That's what happened in the SNBF. The month after I competed they raised the "Tall" category from 5'7" to 5'8". I would prefer if the tall category started at 5'9" and over but at least 5'8" is a start.
This is the main reason why I'm doing this. I want more tall women on stage but I understand that someone has to make the first move and I don't mind doing it as long as other AMAZONS follow. I believe that if I look my best and represent extremely tall women well on stage it will motivate others to get up there with me. THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
My ultimate dream is to stand on stage competing against a woman who's six feet or over in figure or bodybuilding. No matter if I win or lose...............competing against someone who is close to my height or exactly my height would be one of the best moments of my competing career.

Hi Goddess Glad everything is going well for you and that you are now back on meat
Happy Holidays!
Hi Sweetie, Honey, Buff Daddy and favorite person I like to spot during deadlifts.
Yep so far so good. Yesterday I was 14 weeks out and I'm eating fish and turkey again.
I guess getting back on meat was a good decision!
Happy Holidays to you to hon!

My goodness! I just thought I was totally clumpsy and stopped doing lunges years ago. I'm going to try them again with a bar for balance.
Thanx Gurlie!

I guess everyone has been so busy at the gym that they haven't posted. How is everything going for everyone? I have some nutrition questions. I do not eat enough. Nor do I know what to eat. I eat clean, but it is kind of boring when I don't cook well (yet) I am looking for sample meal plans and possible nutrition plans. I really don't know what to eat (or how much for that matter). I don't count calories, protein or carbs (I have before and I tend to eat less doing that). I don't know where to start and I am getting frustrated.
Just letting you all know that I'm still around. Due to my workload and preparing for my next comp in March my internet time has gone down a bit.
But I'm still here!

Hey Lady,
Hope all is good. Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I have to check your blogs to see how you are doing. Now sure if you are still doing those fun videos.
Have a blessed weekend

Hi I just wanted to drop in and say that I've always enjoyed you posts "out there" and have really admired your achievements. I'm happy to find that you have a journal... even if I'm not an amazon! I do agree with you, tall for women should be 5'9" and up. I have a lot of friends in the 5'7"-5'8" range, so it hardly seems uncommon, but really more average.
