You should be fine as long as you keep adjusting your calories the lower you get so that you stay at a deficit.
And some form of cardio during every workout is always a good thing. Dont have to stay on the treadmil/eliptical/etc. forever but it will allow you to feel more confident that youre staying at deficit.

What are your goals?
How are you training?
And how are you eating?
I guess those are the big questions for me.
My goal is to trim down some. I finished a bulk on November 1, 2008. Reached 200 lbs. for the first time in my life. I'm 6'1" and have never weighed that. Unfortunately, my waist was also around 40".
Right now I'm following an eating plan that involves 100 grams of protein spread out during the day and then one big meal. I either hit Sheetz for chicken, a Chinese buffet in Carlisle, or the Carlisle Diner.
I'll have a protein shake for breakfast and then another protein shake at around 10 or 11 followed by one more at 1 or 2 p.m. Then I'll have my meal at between 4 and 7 p.m. depending if it's a lifting day. Another protein drink at 6 or 8 p.m. and I'm done. I have Saturday as my cheat day to replenish, uh, something.
I weighed 188 lbs. today. Not sure what weight I'm after.
November 1, 200 7 I had dropped to 149 lbs. (for about a minute) after a few months of cutting. I had hit 45 and wanted to drop my waist and I definitely did that, but I looked like death warmed over. Just too skinny.
I'm training on an old Frank Calta program. Three days a week. Body is split in two. Training A-B-A the one week and then B-A-B the next.
Workout A: Legs, Triceps, Abs
Workout B: Chest, Back, Biceps, Calves, Traps
Just rotating the workouts every week.
Issues: lower back, bruised elbow (fell on the #$% @##$ ice), sore biceps tendon, neck, knees, LMAO Oh, yeah, I'm feeling 96 instead of 46.
So how about you, dmpenwell?
And anyone else who wants to share or post a link to their BodyBlog. Last year I kept a Hydroxycut journal which wasn't much, but there was some cool participation here and there.
No offense was made by my "questions" post. My intent was humor and laughter only. Wishing everyone the best in this contest.

I love 4oz diced baked chicken cooked into 4 egg whites and 2 whole eggs scrambled then 1 multi grain tortilla and usually a 1/4 cheese. Its huge and filling and yummy. I also use taco seasoning in it because otherwise some days its a little too bland. I also add in broccoli if I don't use the tortilla on low carb days.

I started at about 206 after gaining some muscle during this past summer...isince the 1st I am at about 198 so fat...I want to reach about 175 before I start carbing up for fulness and that should allow me to cut back cardio and recover more...currently 1700calories...200protein, 80 or so carbs and then trace fats. I train 3 days with weights (chest/back, shoulders/arms, legs/abs) in the heavy duty training style via mike mentzer early stages...I do about 15min of hit cardio on a stationary bike post lift and on nonlifting days I started at 20min hit and will bump that up as the weeks go by as needed...I need the calories for the heavy recovery so anything extra will be from cardio not from calories drop...ny specific diet and training soon to come...

HA.. I wasn't lying in the last thread when I said my nickname was Chewbacca, I worry sometime about braking the electric razor.... yes.. I'm a beast.
As for breakfast, favorite, 3 egg omelet with lots of veggies, some cheese; maybe a few sausage links and a pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese.
Favorite healthier breakfast, two packets of instant oatmeal that I toss a half cup of raisins in, with 8oz skim milk and two scoops of whey protein (chocolate/strawberry mix).

LOL!!!
I was thinking, waybe we should have a MT50K FAQ thread or even a group. Wow, that could also be a great marketing scheme. Maybe pay per question, we could make more than 50K on that...

Well, I heard that knifes and scissors works great, who knows...
But with all seriousness, last year when I had it to really cut fat and loose some weight, it took me about 2-3 months before I saw real results. I did a lots of cardio and dieted for most part. I used to run 3 miles 4-5 times a week.
I'm not saying to go run 3 miles a day now, but with a variety of cardio and changing what you do you might get better results rather than doing the same old boring thing several times a week. I like to keep my body guessing on what is coming next.
I love to do different exercises, and I really hate running but that is what worked for me along with the bike. You just have find out what works best for you.
Good luck!

I have been looking forward to today all week. I'm allowing myself part of a cheat day. I'm also examining my diet. I have been eating really clean but I don't think I'm getting enough calories. I can tell that I've lost weight but I don't want to lose quite this fast. There's still over 3 months to go. I just broke under 200lbs but I still need to gain some lean muscle before I really cut. Is 3000 calories reasonable? I've been getting around 2500 calories but with the extra cardio, I'm burning quite a bit.

I am losing my mind!
Dumbbell shoulder press is at 90 for 10 reps. Low carbs.... on hardcore.. everything you can think of and want to destroy. I was told cause of my lower back injury cause of my car accident I would NEVER squat over 225 again. That is my second warm up set! Went to 405 for reps! Not much to many.. but a load to alot! Understand that?? At 200lbs I want 455lbs for atleast 5 strict reps.
5'9 225lbs now. Leg press over 1,000lbs for sets for 15. Incline over 100's each arm for 5. Db Row 100's strict for 10. Will NEVER do a Bicep curl again in my life after reading about pull ups! If I do 5 pull ups with 90lbs then biceps curls will be back in my workout!
But it is.. what it is!
AND I need to lose a **** load of fat!!! What should I do?
I am carrying the extra weight.. can put on the mass.... but NEED to lose the FAT.. and get lean.. should I get lean and then gain some mass? Or gain the MASS and hope the **** that I can lose the fat at the end???
Never have ever been in a bodybuilding contest ever!

I just finished shoveling my driveway, that was my aerobics and lifting for the day. And today was supposed to be my rest day. I like the idea about posting diet's I can use some pointers.
5am 20-45 minutes of aerobics, varying intensity from day to day to mix it up. Dave Goodin suggust a low impact power walk to conserve muscle mass.
meal 1 5 egg whites 1 whole egg, 1/4 to 1 cup oats (every day is different to mix it up)
meal 2 some type of low cal protein bar
meal 3 about 7 oz chicken with eighter 1/2 rice or about 5 oz yams handful of almonds (I have small hands it is about 1/4 cup
meal 4 ON whey 2 scoops protein more almonds
train
meal 5 about 7 oz chicken and vegtables almonds
meal 6 about 1/2 to 1 cup cottege cheese I mix it with sugar free jello mix to change the flavor. can't stand the flavor of it without it. I also used to mix it with yogurt.
minimal 1/2 gallon of water daily
I weight about 163 now, started at 165 on the 1st. about 5'4" Male

HardcorSancez' entry pics
If anyone has pics they'd like re-sized, PM me and I'll be glad to help if possible.
Postage stamps aren't the best, but then neither are 18" x 24" monitor-smothering shots either. And blurry pics will NOT give the judges a basis for comparison between your before and after pics.
THIS IS IMPORTANT, PEOPLE!
There was at least one contestant last year who completed a remarkable transformation yet was not recognized as one of the "winners" because their After pics were out of focus.
I'm going to PM Victor Tenuta for guidance on photo requirements because, hey, wouldn't it be nice to be SURE?
Here are pics that are absolutely in focus and what I'd call sized appropriately.
Posting for HardcorSancez
She has posted to her Progress Pictures section as well.
