Better question. What kind of technical skills would help in online poker?

math helps but its not too much important. u just have to be able to learn quick, adjust to ur opponent, and be able to make the right size bets.
If math was a major factor then more mathematicians would be poker players

I'm only posting this because:
1.) My online bankroll 75 days ago was 2200 dollars (+10k loaned out) and no intention of redepositing and every intention to quit.
2.) Started playing 2/4 and 3/6 on Cake with those 2200 dollars
3.) Best month before this was a 35k month
4.) BBV will flame me for this
Brag: 100x'ed effective bankroll at the time
Beat: Did poorly on one of my finals, which is really driving me nuts (have been super tilted the past few days and have not slept well because of it). It's not about the letter grade at the end, but it's thought of knowing I could/should have done better that's going to gnaw at me for the next few weeks. Grrr...I'm an underachiever as it is probably, but choking away another final is SO ****ING TILTING.
Beat #2: I broke my monitor with one solid punch to it (ok, took me two punches). First monitor I have broken.
Beat #3: Was playing 25/50 hold'em and PLO completely ****faced with a 30k bankroll 2 months ago and lost half of my bankroll.
Variance: I'd give 80% of it away for a 4.0 this term (not happening unfortunately)?

Some of the replies in here remind me of the "why i don't tell people I play poker" thread from 2+2. I didn't know people seriously say things like, "CASH IT ALL OUT AND REBUILD OR YOU'LL LOSE IT ALL" and "most pros make 400k/day" LOL.
Anyways, HU is all about adjusting frequencies to play unexploitably on each street. Obviously you have to make big bluffs based on history, but playing an optimal ABC-style works against most players.
Also, 2+2 spammed this thread across every other known forum across the internets after reading this thread because they saw how dumb the replies here were and how many people wanted to jump into the poker economy after this thread. It's in the pregnancy forum, virgin forum, paintball forum, furry forum, etc. etc. etc.
And no, I'm not fraudin.
And yes, I report my poker winnings for taxes.

i hope people who realize that for every one person like the OP, there are hundreds or even thousands who lose money daily on poker.

Also, I went most of my career w/o using a HUD, but it really helps a bunch and I can't go without one now.
This is all texas hold'em.

I sincerely hope the OP cashes out and invests this money. There's nothing I hate seeing more than someone attain great success and then lose it. Everyone always thinks it won't happen to them or that they'll recover, but it just doesn't happen.

FWIW, I've cashed out about half of it and am hoping to run the other half into a ton of monies.
