Body Fat Testing
What is the best method to get an accurate Body Fat Result?
If I use the scale at my house I get 14-17% and if I use the scale at the gym I get 10%. Which one is accurate and which one should I use to track my progress?

I bought a simple bodyfat tester that sends a signal through one thumb to the next and measures the resistance caused by fat in your body. It says my bodyfat is 25%, is this accurate to you guys?

The only accurate way is through Hydrostatic Weigh Ins or Bod Pods.
Anything else can be way off (and almost always is).

I find that the scales aren't very accurate at all. I have a scale at home too, but it always seems to read high. I also have calipers that I use. They seem more accurate. Then there's always the Navy or YMCA method if you have access to a tape measure.

Look for a College in your area that has a Kinesiology department and contact someone in the department. They usually have the equipment for it.

Get a 9-site skin-fold caliper test. Most gyms have personal trainers that will perform the test on you at no cost.
