Mygame11's Keto Log: Journey to 140lbs
5'5 @ 296lbs
Well as some of you know I started my Keto journey yesterday and it went fairly well. I guess I just wanted to "see" what I am eating, as I know it help sometimes. Also for others to see, as to get one approval or disapproval on anything I may be doing right or wrong. I am tough, and I can take the constructive criticism fire away when need be!
Day 1 (yesterday Oct 26, 2008)

2 scoops of whey protein (not taking 2 anymore with this diet, I just forgot)
3 fired eggs
2tbsp butter
snack
1/2 cup boiled cabbage fried

1tbsp butter
late lunch
6oz chicken breast
fried cabbage
2tbsp oil
2tbsp butter
dinner
6oz chicken breast
fried cabbage
2tbsp oil
2tbsp butter
**I will post each day in the late evening after eating final meal**

I am glad you like mayo. I can't handle it by the tsp, much less half a cup! lol

Man, I love that crap! Probably a good bit too much! I don't know why, just do. I need to cut back on it though, I know...because I could be eating more food in place of all that fat! LMAO! We will see.

Keep up the great work. I plan on starting my keto log tomorrow. Give me something to do other than writing it all down in a journal.

Thanks Veeno, I just now saw your post (sorry)
Well.....Today I decided that I was going to drink some coffee, HAHAHAHHAHAA, I made enough for about 2 cups, mind you, I like mine strong, and I have not had coffee in about oh...I guess a month. So, I drink half a cup, and think to myself, I had better go check the nutrition label on this Folgers, so I look it up on the net (because I use a glass jar to keep my coffee in, in the fridge) so I had no container, OMG...to my surprise, there were/are 2.5 carbs per 8 oz cup....HOLY CRAPOLA.... NO more coffee, because I know how I make mine, and there were plently more than that in one cup I am sure of it. I ASSumed that coffee, like tea, would be carb free....guess not, darnit!
Ok, so I need to post my meals for the last two days, they are logged in fitday, but not here. I will transfer shortly.
So far on this diet (this is my 7th day) I have lost 8 pounds and 1 pound away from my March weigh in....WAHOOOOO! Down to 288, I am excited! I can only pray it keeps working!

Keep up the good work. During keto, the initial weight loss is fast and gives you a great feeling. It will slow down a bit after a couple of weeks but, it will continue to work. Instead of losing a pound or more a day though, it will probably be like 1-4 lbs a week. Don't let it discourage you though, you are making a great choice in ditching all the garbage processed junk. You will get where you're wanting to go, just stick with it. Also, are you doing any cardio or weight training to assist you? Good luck!

I am doing Low Intensity (for now) walking, jumping jacks, jump rope approx 30 minutes a day (thats all I can handle, it is increasing everyday though, just have to work to get there)
I also do regular exercises 2x a day, the old fashioned kind....I do my legs, my arm and my abs.....the only exercises I use extra weight with are my arms, for my abs I do the jack-knife until I can no longer (nothing set about it, just how ever long for however many times I can do it, I try to increase everyday and I have) I do my legs (3 different exercises) until I they are shaking LOL....thats about it so far, I am working on an elliptical ($350+tax is not that easy at the moment) but I will get one!
Thank you for the kind words, info and motivation!

This was a great day..."Day 9" I mean. I think I finally figured it out. LOL....took me a little while. I will eat like this for a few days and see if anything changes, I am thinking, it may, for the better...I hope! I feel better now (at the end of the day) than I have, not sure if it was/is what I ate, or didn't eat, or just getting used to being on the diet...either way I LOVE IT!
I will get there, I need to measure again, and weigh....I am pretty sure I lost, but can't do it until morning (or don't want to anyhow)
Hopefully tomorrow I will have just as much energy as I had today, today was a good exercise and cardio day for me! Very good.....I feel good, and am excited about doing more than I used to be able to do, just not too long ago! All in time, all in time!

Stellar job so far. The increase in energy is likely because your body is used to being in ketosis now. I remember I was extremely sluggish before entering ketosis, now I feel like I have energy out the ass. Glad to see that you are making progress. Trust me, the weight will continue to come off. Never get discouraged.

It takes weeks to become fully fat adapted.
Just keep up what you are doing and you'll be successful. And remember, you have a bunch of people rooting for you.

Well, another start, bu not from behind!
Ok, well here is the deal...I owe it to those of you who keep up and to myself, so here goes!
When I did my "carb up" day, that I did not need (for those of you who know) anyhow, I never did come off of it. I mean, I just kept eating normal, and healthy (seriously) and I did not gain any weight, BUT I do not feel as good as I did. I am at least still sitting at the same weight as where I left off....I suppose that is a major plus, I did not go carb crazy (thank goodness)
Anyhow, I digress...
I am back and on track, and starting my Keto diet AGAIN first thing in the morning. I am very much looking forward to it, and I appreciate all of the people whom I was receiving support from. It really did mean a lot, and I am sorry for bailing on us both.
So wish me luck! Here I come 165!

I ate like that over the entire Thanksgiving weekend too, so I know what you are saying. My problem is, I am up 3lbs! lol
Let's both get back to work.

Sounds good to me....I have missed a few people on here, including you! It is good to see you again! Hope all goes well for you! I started yesterday, and I walked a couple of miles today, it felt great...I am waiting for the fatigue to come back...it was not too bad the first time around though....hopefully this time will be no different!

Don't feel bad you guys. I ate like a piglet for a week and put on 6 pounds of water weight. Back on keto yesterday and down 2 pounds of water weight already so.
Glad to have you back. I was wondering if you had given up on keto or something. I hadn't seen you posting in a while. Anyway, keep up the good work and keep faith. Fat is our savior and heavy cream is our holy water.

LOL...Thanks for the motivation and advice! I am glad to know that you are back on track as well. This is day 2 for the 2nd time around, and I already feel great! I am ready once more for tomorrow. I cannot bail out on myself that easily...I just lost my way for a bit, luckily though, I did not gain anything.

Well, Day 6 has arrived!
I feel great! Better this time around than the first time! I have lost 5 pounds so far, and just got an elliptical Thursday, we put it together and I used it yesterday and plan on it today and tomorrow and the rest of the days until it no longer works! hahaha Seriously though, that thing feels really good, it made me feel good...although, I must admit, I could only go for 5 1/2 minutes at a time, it did it twice yesterday, today I will do it 3 times, and keep working on building up the amount of time each time I use it. I know the longer the cardio workout is the better....but at least I am doing it!
Received my BB shipment today and started on the new supplements that I ordered. Hopefully they will assist me in reaching my goal.
I am taking
Biochem's Fat Metabolizer (just started today)
Higher Power's chromium Picolate (just started today)
higher Power's Green tea Extract (just started today)
Melatonin (been taking)
Whey protein (not often)
SOOOOOO....here goes another shot at it!

Ah, that is great! Good luck to you! I am glad I was able to help; although, I must say...you do not look as though you need it!
Good luck to you though! Start you a log and let it flow! I need to get back to logging mine, it made me more aware and attentive to my diet when I logged it for all to see...(if you know what I mean)

Well, I have been bouncing a little lately, and just finished a detox yesterday. I have been eating more natural foods, including fruits, which do not obviously fall into the Keto diet, but I am starting my Keto back up hot and heavy! Have not gained any "fat" but can feel a little water bloat (although, there is another reason for that)
I have also changed and added a few supplements to my diet and looking forward to seeing the results "fall off"
Thank you all for the support and motivation to keep it up!
