Regardless of beliefs or none, regardless of the invective and offensive posts...
I myself am holding no malice towards anyone for their beliefs about me or anyone else, Christian, Muslim, Jew, faithful, atheist, homosexual or whatever your attributes or beliefs. My hope and desire is to converse on an intellectual level, and will not be drawn into trolling or baiting conversations.
It's tiring and draining; the energy is negative and toxic. Maybe I am feeling a little overly emotional, especially considering we did not do the traditional "Christmas thing" with gifts and stress and decorations, except for a decorated tree and some small household decorations (could be my medications too... better living though chemistry ). We will be alone today and have a quiet day of vegging, unless we horn in on other family members.
To that end, whoever or whatever you are, I wish you the best the Universe and whatever Deity you believe in, has to offer. There's a Russian saying I learned from Russian friends:
Ya zhelayu tebe fseg o horoshev o: I wish you all the best.
"Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one"

Agreed. But I find it exceedingly difficult to have an intellectual discussion with those who believe in murdering homosexuals because of their orientation; believe in old men having sex with children because some dude nearly 2 centuries ago thought it was good; believe in treating women like second class citizens and have no issue with men selling their daughters to old men; believe in murdering folks because of their chosen religious beliefs; believe in the invisible man in the sky; and refuse to question anything about their religion whatsoever. How is it even possible to discuss these horrific beliefs in an intellectual manner? I wish I could but these beliefs are so arcane, so repugnant to anyone who isnt living in the 6th Century. And to not even question any of it makes rational discussion impossible.

Yes every theist believes in that. You are judgmental my friend.

I agree that theists believe these things. THEY judge others and mete out punishment. I believe in doing no harm to others ie women, homosexuals, those who choose a different religion than mine, kids. How am I being judgemental because I disagree with those who harm the innocent?

that is why I stopped posting here for some time.
sometimes is a wast of time trying to convince someone something else. religion or even something like which is the best exercise or Reebok vs Nike.
that is human being the internet just bring the worst out of some because they are protected by the sense the possibility they wont be meeting this person.

A) He never said ALL theists, now did he? He specified which people.
B) If being judgmental means being disgusted by the people he mentioned and thinking they lack the intellectual capacity to logical defend their beliefs then count me in.

Strange that you quoted Lennon.

To the OP.
I applaud your efforts in trying to commence an intellectual discussion, however on this forum you will encounter snide remarks, cynicism and low brow comments form those that have nothing constructive to contribute.
I myself am Christian, but I don't celebrate Christmas, because of it's Pagan affiliation to the Winter Solstice. I don't infringe on others beliefs for celebrating the holiday though.

I find it exceedingly difficult to have an intellectual discussion with those who believe they have any clue as to what they're talking about, when reality betrays them.
