its a pr, why wouldnt you film it?
you told me you never got the golds membership so i thought you only had 300 pounds at your house?
always film your lifts no matter how big or how small for form adjustments and progress updates.

video can reveal technique errors or points to improve on no matter what the weight.
video is not just for bragging rights and backing up e-claims, it can be a very useful tool for actually improving one's strength.

ive gotten weaker if that counts. ive also pondered quitting lifting after sheiko.
are you that pathetic? Not trying to hate but cmon you need to actually devote time and effort in to lifting if you want to make it anywhere. Work on explosiveness, im serious here you can really add poundage if you do this, just start from lower weight like 225 and work on getting it locked out as fast as you can then get 315 fast and then before you know it you will be blasting up 405 and it will be feeling like 315.
yea i mean, no matter what weight im deadlifting it feels heavy. its like i CANT progress. i actually was surprised at how 305 for deadlift to knees was pretty heavy, so i did explosive reps with 305, and while they werent hard i felt like i hitched it. im not even sure what a hitch is to be honest. theres so many different terms, ramping leaning back and hitching. idk it just seems like im wasting my time h.

You mean for the first time in your life you've hit a plateau, and stopped that linear progression you were gonna achieve every week forever?
Have you changed up your programming? Started eating more, I dunno, stuff to combat it, rather than just giving up?
idk it seems ive been plateaud for 4 years i mean i only bench 280 on a good day after lifting since 11/04. squat and deads i havent made gains in forever and im a newb on those, i actually go up and down on those. i started sheiko a week ago so yea i switched up the programming but eating is so hard for me. like yesterday i made an attempt to eat mad calories so i went to the pizza hut buffet, and was only able to eat 9-11 slices dont remember but that held me over till like 11 at night when i managed to guzzle down a half gallon of choc milk

sickonstorm, your only problem is not eating enough.
You try to make up excuses, try to fix things that aren't broken, mess something else up in the process, but the root of it all is that you're not eating enough, and you know it.
There's only so much a 6'2" 180-lber can lift. IMO you compare yourself to other people around your weight, who are SHORTER than you. Bulk up, your lifts will increase like crazy.

i cant bulk up though lol im not even hungry right now. and i know that is my problem i have said that all along man. but also my shoulder hurts like **** right nao just from doing some pulling wtf????

would this be considered hitching just because his legs were shaking? i never saw anyone like andy bolton pull enough weight (to them) to make them shake. my body shakes when pulling but i dont think thats hitching

I would say no, when i pull sumo and get up near my max i tend to do that same thing. I shake like crazy but i dont really "Hitch" anything.
Edit: I'm withdrawing my name for now. I'm sure i will hit 500 during the summer this year but right now I've different goals in mind.

i pull conventional but i shake like diesel weasel dutring the lift. i go for a weight that is my 100 percent max, but i dont think i hitch like he does i just shake and struggle the whole way.

yo sick, im gonna say, ive had 3 reconstructive shoulder surgeries in the past 18 months and i can still pack on quality weight at 5'9, so you should easily be able to do it... the best thing i learned is, even if you arent hungry, eat in case you might be later..

did deads yesterday, I looked at my training journal and noticed that I was using to heavy of weights last week. My body responds better to lighter weight and higher repetitions than heavier weight with low repetitions.
UPDATE:
Deadlift workout yesterday
Did deficit deads but was working-out at a new gym where the plates are not flat (so I can't stand on them) so I folded one of those pads people use for abs over like twice and stood on that. So about 1.5" thick and somewhat squishy...
135lbsx10reps (did one set w/o that pad and then started using the pad to stand on and used it throughout the workout)
225lbsx5reps
285lbsx3reps
325lbsx2reps
375lbsx1rep
425lbsx1rep
455lbsx1rep HUGE PR for me considering the last time I maxed on regular deads I pulled 450lbs!!! So I'm feeling good about getting 500 by the deadline
Finished with a set of 225lbs for 12 reps before moving on to Pull Throughs and Hypers. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

still dealing with knee injury, able to do bent over rows two days ago, but tweaked the knee a bit. Cant do anything but Bench really. Did close-grip bench 320 for 3. Hopefully light DLs next week sometime, or by Sunday.

holy crap, gjdm
but on a different note, does anyone ever just switch what hand is over/under for deadlifting ( i heard something about it putting torque on your spine?)
So, can anyone still jump into the 'race?' I have no illusions that I'll win, but 500 is my eventual goal. My PR is 405, no belt no straps no chalk, but I've been out of practice. Here's my last workout, fwiw:
