"ON" 100% gold standard is so overated first of all its not 100% WPI so its not a good post shake and second the choc tastes like wet cardborad on water. I would recomend ultimate nutrition Iso sensetion or for a hydrolysed whey ast vp2 citrus splash. Still a bit unsure about how intact the aminos are after hydrolysing the cold filltered WPI are a safe option but I did have good recovery on the vp2.

Vitamin Shoppe's Whey seems to be working well for me so far. I also really liked the Syntrax Nectar and I've heard Intrapro is pretty good.
For extended digest, ON Casein and Pro Complex are my favorites. Their Nitro Core didn't taste bad but I'm not sure how much better it was for gains.

ON Whey/Casein
ON's protein products are definitely the most effective products out in the market. The ON Whey is great for pre and post workout nutrition while the casein gives you the advantage of steady bedtime protein flow into your muscles to repair and build.

For gaining muscle, not pure size, Body Fortress Whey Protein. 26 g of protein per scoop, also has a nice recovery blend with some creatine monohydrate, Taurine, L-Glutamine, etc.

Old guy advice on Protein and other supplements.
Ok youngin's (I'm old 53)
My current protein is Syntrax Matrix 5.0
I have tried them all and I have spent way too much money. So I have come up with a system on supplements.
With all the money I wasted on supplements over years I could have bought a 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera C4S and should look like Dexter Jackson or Jay Cutler .
Remember that "ALL"supplement companies just want to make money and could care less if there products really work. They add fillers and crap.
READ THE LABLES
I must stress the best is not a supplement its "FOOD". Eat the right foods to gain mass, eat 6 times a day 40% protein 40% carbs 10% fats. Lots of food and lots of rest!
Add protein powders to supplement for food when you need to.
Cheap proteins are just that cheat crap so don?t waste your money.
Use a blend of ultra filtered whey protein isolate, ultra filtered milk protein, undenatured egg albumin, with glutamine peptides and BCAA.
Here is my time tested protein rating system.
Does it make me FART.
Does it effect my sex drive.
Taste
Cost
Current Supplements:
Syntrax Matrix 5.0
Multi-Vitamin
Fish oil
Creatine
Lots of food and lots of rest!
Quit wasting your money on crap supplements and use your hard earned money on GOOD FOOD.
Lift Huge.

ON is over-rated. Its only a topseller because soo many people see it high in the sales ranks and get sucked into it. It only became a topseller because its cheap. Tbh Ive never bought into it because it all looks and sounds crap and reviews have also told me that lol.
Anyway seen as I live in England I cant worder any Isolate Whey - Thats what'd I'd use instead im stuck with UK products atm im trying out "Reflex Nutritions Micro Whey Isolate." It should be decent and done my research into it.
Then again over here there is little other options that Ive seen so far.
Whey Isolate is the WHEY BABY.

I personally think monster milk by cytosport is the best protein. I have had the most gains by using this brand. I have tried several different types of protein including monster milk by cytosport, syntha 6 by bsn and all American whey.

do you actually belive one protein powder is going to give you visually better results than another? just curious
and not conting crazy stuff like twinlab's gainer fuel which has like 200grams of sugar cause you will see a difference with that... a fat difference

Thats f'ing great considering it's only $14 for 5lbs. It bloated my stomach horribly.
I've tried many proteins and ON %100 Whey has been the best.

Ya the bloat is probably from the creatine monohydrate in the recovery blend of body fortress protein

body fortress protein tastes like monkey butt
The best protein i found is nutek PRO-5
1 Scoop has:
Calories 145 Calories from fat 10
total fat 1g-1.5%
saturated fat 0g
Sodium 35mg- 1.5%
total Carbs 2g
sugar 1g
Fiber-Og
Protein- 32g
Then it also has digestive enzimes, all EFA's and BCAA's.
