A fat hairy guy, about 350 lbs, was deadlifting yesterday in light colored shorts, and unfortunately I happened to notice his **** stains.
Sorry.

Me and my friend were working out today and some homo came up while we were benching and started doing tricep extentions against the bottom of the bench WHILE my friend was in the middle of a set. After we called him a homo and told him to gtfo he came back and did it again. It seriously looked like he was trying to give my friend head while he was benching. Then some hot milf came by and started laughing with us about it and said he was staring at our asses everytime we walked by. And then she started imitating him and that wasn't a problem .

1. Last night there were these 3 (I'm going to call them "brown" guys, cause that's how they referred to themselves - and I'm not really sure where they were from). They were there when I got there at about 8:30, already "working out". I use quotes because they were working out their mouths more than anything. Yap yap yap yap. One guy's in the middle of a set and the guy spotting him is laughing histerically about he story he is telling them. Felt bad for the guy lifting. I just can't stand people that come to gym to yap the whole time. At one point one of the douches took his 70lb dumbells that he got 4 inlcine reps out of and put them back on the rack where the 75's go.....as I'm waiting behind him to put back the 75's. I told him "Buddy, 7-0 goes with 7-0....it's called the matching game. You should try it sometime....my girlfriend's 3 year old is awesome at it!". I shouldn't of said that, cause it just made his tool friends laugh so loud at him that I thought the mirrors were going to fall off the wall.
2. The assbag that can't run on the treadmill without stomping his feet. You wearing lead shoes buddy?

There's this huge ahole at my gym at school who always come in listening to music like hes the absolute ****. He does not look at you, he either looks past, over, or through you. I asked this guy if he was done on the cables and he turns around halfway, back still turned to me, and almost kinda sorta looks at me from the corner of his eye and gives this "w/e take it if you are so pressed for it my time is too important for you, why are you talking to me, man im awesome" look and this isn't even the main thing.
He'll be doing these random circuits from one end of the gym to the other and if you are doing tricep pulldown for instance, as soon as you let go of the bar or w/e he'll just take them with out saying a word to you or even acknowledging that you haven't moved a step away from them and yet and that you are actually still in the middle of your set and just needed to change your grip. It is really unbelievable.
Guy own the gym apparently. I had no idea, jeez

hows this for a "That guy" story...
I watched this guy try to do a clean and press last week down in Fort Polk. Well, he did about 4 sets with real good form, he was beat red on the last. I was doing mine next to him with my 2 other buddies, and I stopped to wait for him to finish his last set so I could put my weights back, and well, he came up, let go, the barbell went forward, smashed the mirror, and almost took him out rolling back.
I thought it was funny, but I didn't laugh cause he was still doing more then I can bench before he went too heavy.

Wow after reading all this sometimes I feel like I'm "that guy" when I'm staring at some people accidentally. I'm really just impressed with them or seeing what exercise they're doing. ;\
No one is really "that guy" at my gym except for the occasional person with horrible technique.

Do that while you're training for kickboxing. I don't come to your kickboxing class and start curling right beside where you're shadow boxing after I did a sweet roundhouse for the first time.

Things I hate
- When I'm doing circuit work in the gym and while I'm not at the seated calf raise, some middle-aged guy with a pride problem steals my 35lb weights off it to put it on the leg press. (Happened last Saturday) Sometimes I do a circuit of 6 exercises, unless the gym is busy. My gym is generally not busy, otherwise I will lessen the circuit to like 3.
- When people don't put their weights back after their sets.
- When people can clearly tell your not finished with your sets on the cable, and they change the attachment, height and weight, then they don't put it back!
- Smelly people
- When the guy next to you on the treadmill also has a pride problem, and just has to go faster than you, even when you are doing HIIT.
- The three young AFL (Australian football league) players (wankers) who do dumb stuff and jack the weight up as much as they can till their spotter is doing more work than they are.
- The guy that comes in with a stripper club shirt on (club raw-hide in big letters), has a high body fat percentage, and walks around like he owns the place. He also yells at the end of his sets. It scares the crap out of the girl trying to do lunges next to him, and then she stresses her hamstring and has to go home. (happened 3 weeks ago, she doesn't go on a Friday anymore!)
I don't see the problem if people are using the racks/machines in an unorthodox way, unless other people are trying to use that equipment. I also don't mind grunting that much. Unless its really really loud, than that's just pride. I exhale loudly sometimes at the top of my extension sometimes, but never grunt or anything.

So basicly your using 6 machines at once correct? I don't mind people do circuit work but be prepared to lose one of your stations if your off doing something on one of the other 5 machines your taking up that people shouldn't touch also.
I have a girl that does circuit work at our gym and she will lay a towel on 5 different machines during her workout like they are off limits. You take one station at a time, it's just plain rude to hog more than that and people have to sit and wait a hour till your done.

I agree you shouldnt get mad when your doing a circuit with 6 machines and someone takes a station or uses the weight you left. They may not have realized what you were doing. If i see weight I can use and no one is around the machine using it I will use it if i need it

I noticed what I do that might bug people . I look at weight spread fingers out like edward scissors hands -summoning energy for the lift. gives more menacing looks at weight at growls when lifting not grunt Growl.
On seated calve raises I get intense burning-pump feel that last for about 10 seconds after I finish repping I growl and kind of let everyone within 3 feet by my theatrics. cant help it . Its better out than in

+1 when cirucuiting, expect to lose stuff. I'll superset or compound set alot, and if someone uses my machine while I'm at another station, i'll come back, wait for their set to finish, then ask if I can work in with them, since it is now their station (I was gone, they took it, fair and square).
Also, on the cable machine, never replace the pin to the other person's weight. not being a dick, but often times people pyramid weight as well, so they're going to change the weight anyways. By all means, if you're working in, put the height back to where they had it, but the weight is on them.

This thread is crazy.
First this thread is crazy,
There is this older guy at my gym. He actually followed me into the bathroom one time and informed me that I had not wiped down the tread mill.(Isn't that like rule number one, not matter how important some thing is do not follow someone into the bathroom. Also piss off, I happen to be a freaking clean freak at the gym, I actually take plates of bb if there is only is on there, a lop sided bb is the most dangerous thing in the gym.) So anyway one day this lady who works out at my gym comes up to me, please note she is older but in crazy shape. Really crazy shape. She says to me, do you ever do concentration curls, I say yes, do you always go full range of motion. I say most times and that some people do it to shape the muscle. She says exactly, so who is that douche bag over there who just gave me a five minute lecture of form. She tilted her head towards the clean police guy. Of course in his workout pants, belt and gloves.
If anyone wants to know, yes I use the rack for shrugs rows and deads. Curls if no one is around, why not. The fixed bb's only go to 110.
I believe if a person can squat 6 plates more than 10 times they have a right to the rack.

I'm sorry I want to squat in your curl rack... Shrugs and rows are okay, but you can do deads on the floor.

Also, on the cable machine, never replace the pin to the other person's weight. not being a dick, but often times people pyramid weight as well, so they're going to change the weight anyways. By all means, if you're working in, put the height back to where they had it, but the weight is on them.

x2. If I'm working in with someone on cables, I'll put the height back to what it was and change the attachment if necessary, but I leave the weight alone.

Lol:
That guy #1: grunts audibly loud while lifting, there was a lady nearby though so trying to impress her could be the reason.
That guy #2 & #3: #2 likes to lift workout shirtless while wearing slippers and walk around like he is king kong after lifting for a little bit. #3 also wears slippers and talks with #2 in the gym in a loud and annoying voice.
That guy #4: (happened today, 12/22/2008) While I was doing my favorite, Lat pulldown, the dude looked at me while I was doing it in proper form, then proceeds to get another dumbell and do some workout within five feet of me. He has a huge belly and when I entered the gym that day, he was taking a nap on the sit up bench that I would later use for sit-ups.
