you really think humans arn't capable of firing back after they have been shot? When you shoot someone, you want to be sure they will be knocked down. A small 5.56 isnt guaranteed to knock someone down.

No, but 5.56 is a tumbling round. The means it can enter your chest and exit your ass, all the while tumbling through your body and ****ing up everything in between. (i have seen this exact scenario).

I will take that any day over a slightly heavier round with slightly greater knockdown power.

And you apparently don't realize the weight difference in a combat load of 7.62 vs 5.56.
You can nearly carry twice as much 5.56 as 7.62 for the same weight.

Haven't had any hands-on time with the masada, which is why I didn't mention it yet, but it looks promising.
I'm hoping to pick up the Bushmaster ACR version sometime next year.

i have been shot once in the leg the last thing i was thinking of was shooting back and luckly i got shot with a .22 rifle round but it still travled a good bit a 5.56 cal round sometimes breaks apart while traveling at the same speed making the wound area huge and extremly painfull

No, your body was probably almost completely relaxed and you were shot by accident (correct me if im wrong, im just assuming)

at the moment i was hunting so in a sense i was relaxed but the problem is not only the fact of being shot and trust me i wanted to shoot back i couldnt because the pain was great at the moment after about 10 minutes it stoped hurting as much but it was only a .22 a 5.56 would tear tissue and nerves to pecies caus much more pain

You underestimate the capabilities of the human body under stress.
Im sure youve heard stories of mothers lifting ridiculously heavy weights to save their children right? Its kinda like that. And kinda like how when you go to the gym and your "in the zone". you can lift significantly more weight then when you just woke up and went to the gym all sleepy.
