What do i take?
I started lifting consistently in may and have stuck with it. I'm 18 6'3" and 175 pounds. I'm looking to play division 1 volleyball. I'm trying to get alot bigger arms, chest back etc and but i cannot afford to get fat at all. I don't know exactly what is best for me as far as a protein supplement. Right now I'm taking pro complex twice a day and I've tried ProNOS but i really am no expert on this stuff...Any suggestions please? thanks

ast-vp2?-(how good are the muscle-gains from this protein-isolate?
is "vp2"-(sport science assist)-as good as iv been reading? have any of you guys tried vp2? is it better than optimum's-"100%-whey gold standard"? from what iv read, its meant to be the best protein powder of all for building muscle! if you have tried vp2 have you seen great-gains from it? im not interested in how you thought it taste's-but purely interested on your experience as far as "how good muscle-gains you got from vp2,made by (sports science assist)?

What about Pro-Rated protein from Wellaments? They have it at Costco, 6 lbs for $29, I already bought some so I'm going to use it regardless. Looks like it has several different proteins, I probably won't use it post-workout, but maybe at night and whenever I need to add a little protein throughout the day. Thanks

Best Protein Powder
I've been a strong advocate of ON Gold Standard but have since switched to GNC Wheybolic Extreme. But you can never go wrong with ON...GOOD PRODUCT!!!

I always used Optimum because of the very low fat percentage.I tried to chage up and ordered a 5lb jug of Muscle Milk.I seem to have gained fat in all the wrong places. At 19 the Muscle Milk may have worked better but my metabolism has slowed down. The Optimum is better overall to stay lean but the Muscle Milk tastes better.

I use Muscle Juice, I buy from Bodybuilding.com. I used to buy it from GNC, but it's half the price here. It's a weight gainer, I use pre and post. It has a whole lot of everything. Though, in my experience, as long as you are working out as hard as you say you are, then you won't get fat. I went from 205lbs, to where I am now at 231 lbs, and only have 11% bf. I am still very lean. Good luck.

I'm currently utilizing The ON protein for more of a dry gain. I used the Nitro tech and got a wet gain from it and I pump hard, so I think that's just how my body responds to the nitro-tech. Muscle milk is a good choice too. I like the pro complex.Never tried the monster milk and has anyone tried the LG lipotropic protein? It's awfully cheap and that makes me skepitcal about it.

Lots of calories so good for bulking up. Has a monster-sized scoop so I think that you only get about ten servings from something like a 4 lb can. This has creatine in it too, doesn't it?

I don't want to go through 80+ pages of threads cuz I'm sure this has been posted, but Protein Factory (Google it) has pretty much one of the guaranteed best products, since you make your own. Super Bovine/Plasma really works, but it's also very expensive. There are lots of formulas on their forums if you need help too.

I ordered the optimum gold whey last night seems like it was the right choice, I used to use ebay because i could get 10 lbs for 40 bucks think it was dynamatize or something the stuff im finishing off now is a NOW 10 lb mega pack
Should i also order some casein protein to take in the morning and at night?

Depends on what you're trying to do with your body. If you want to get big and pack the muscle on, then take some casein at night and if you're really wanting to get big, wake up around 2-3am and take another shake.
I never buy things that I'm not familar with. But I'm smarter then Muscletech.

ON 100% Whey hands down. Popularity can be misleading but not when it's spanned several years as opposed to the fleeting popularity of other brands. Besides, ON is the only brand I know of that's sold at the grocery store too.
