Fitmeg's Journal
Well, I finally decided to start a journal. I have always been afraid too because I figured it would be a waste of space and nobody would really care. Then I came to the realization that it doesn't really matter what other people think- I need to do what is best for me to help me obtain my goals. (And of course I could use the support from friends along the way!)
Ok, so this journey started for me in 2006. I had been the Customer Service Manager at Gold's gym for almost 2 years when my fiance and I found out that we were expecting. I used my pregnancy as an excise to eat whatever and stop working out all. I don't regret the not working out part- because I think taking it easy may have helped save my son's life. I gave birth at 29 weeks- turns out I have a bicournate uterus and the doctor's were in shock that I even made it to 29 weeks. I gained 30 pounds during my pregnancy, lost a little, but the stress of my son's health caused me to gain more weight. My son stayed at Children's hospital for a while- hospital food- not the best choice! Then it seems every time his health took a turn for the worst, so did my weight. So he is my motivation. If he can overcome everything that he has been through- seizures, hearing loss, respiratory arrest, tachycardia, 100% ventilator support, 3rd degree burns from dumb tech, lung disease, and tiny tumors.. Then I can overcome my food addiction and be healthy.
Food addiction? That's what I call it. I am the person who will diet for a few days and then one day I will binge until I cannot fit a single thing into my mouth. It is so unhealthy, I know. It's all going to change. Right now.
I know, I know. You've heard this before. Not just from be from all sorts of people. People who set goals, start journals and then they go real strong for a couple of days and then seem to fade away. Well that is exactly why I started this journal. To keep myself in line.
I am competing in the hydroxy cut transformation contest. I have started numerous contests before- always finding a reason to quit. But there is no reason to quit. I want to win this!
I will be posting my goals, food plan and workouts as I go along. PLEASE feel free to give me any tips or criticism. I am not a professional and I am doing this on my own. So any advice will be gladly accepted!
I'll be posting my first set of pictures and stats on December 15th and then every week thereafter! Wish me luck!
<3 Megan

Today's workout was ok. I did chest and triceps- my chest is the weakest part of my body so I hate this workout! lol
Total sets: 19
Total Reps: 228
Chest Press: 1 X 12 X 16lbs, 3 x 12 x 24lbs
Incline Press: 3 x 12 x 20lbs- this is always very hard. It's embarrassing that I can only do 20lbs!
Pec fly: 3 x 12 x 40lbs
DB One arm tri extension: 3 x 12 x 8lbs
Tricep press: 3 x 12 x 50lbs
Tricep Cable press (v-bar): 1 x 12 x 30lbs, 2 x 12 x 50lbs
I'll be back tonight to post my food journal! So far, so good. I have 3 alarms on my phone to remind me to eat every 3 hours! Lol

Oh I forgot to add my cardio- 43 minutes, 3.85 miles, 443.3 calories burned. I think I need to pick up the pace.

Hey Meg,
Congrats on the log it looks great! You can do it as long as you keep that food addiction in check! By the way I suffer from the same thing. I can go two or three days even occationally three and a half then BAM everything and everything is going in my mouth! It really sucks and I have only recently come to terms with my contributing factors! Good luck in the transformation contest! You are going to do phenomenal!!

Glad to know I am not the only one. Well, I know I am not the only one but sometimes it feels that way! I am just going to take it day by day. If that doesn't work then hour by hour.

You should do it- it doesn't seem like that many people are doing it. And plus didn't I read you are working with Derek? That's awesome!

Yeah I just started Team Scivation last week, so I've been gettin into that routine. I'm leaving the island on 12/19 and will be travelling for 2 weeks, so I'm thinking after that would be a good time. I'm surprised not too many girls seem interested in it yet. But it did just go up and anyone can start between 12/15 and end of Feb, so you never know

I agree! Seems like ANYTHING that is offered on here is only for Americans, and there are people from all over the world on here. Oh well, maybe one day I will move down there...

Don't yell at me, I know I didn't eat enough today. I just didn't feel like taking my sick son to the store in the rain! And I've been terribly bored today without having to do anything for school and when my son is sick he sleeps A LOOOOT! Ugh.
Food Journal:
7am- Pre workout- Medium Banana, 1 scoop M5 and NO mixed together with 8 ounces water
9am- 2 school chocolate whey protein, 10 organic raisins (all I had lol)
12pm- 5oz Dry tuna, 1 cup green beans- this was so gross, I could barely eat it!
3pm- 1 scoop whey protein
And then I didn't eat until 9pm- 6 ounces grilled chicken breast, 1 cup mixed vegetables.
Right now I am just trying to eat clean. When the contest starts on the 15th, we have 19 weeks to transform. I am going to clean my diet up more and then at 15 week I am going to follow a competition cut diet.

i was reading this here journal and i got thinking, it seems that most of us support because we are ether going through the same sort of thing or have gone through it. Personally i would take the few days of clean eating and binging rather than the weeks upon weeks of dieting to a point of insanity and than eating a 5 pound bag of chocolate but i guess we all deal with the addiction in our own special way. As should be expected good luck with all your goals, For the son!!!
