BB.com wallpaper of the week - ME!
Cool - My picture has been selected to be the Bodybuilding.com wallpaper of the week for week #141!
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wallpaperoftheweek.htm
The picture was taken in July of 2006 the night before I competed in the Mr Minnesota show and a week before I competed in the Masters Nationals.
Although I am retired from the bodybuilding stage my new goal is to get into (and stay in) better shape year around. As an incentive to do so, I have also embarked upon setting my sights on perhaps doing some modeling (if anyone would want to take pictures of an old muscular guy), but also to gain some experience in learning more about photography.
My new passion has become photography, and like everything else I have gotten into in life I tend to want to learn all I can about it and become the best that I can. Years ago I have been involved extensively in playing guitar, ham radio, bass fishing, and bodybuilding. With each of these hobbies I put my focus and efforts into being the best I could be. I tend to go all out with these endeavors and my wife kids me that it's lucky I don't drink alcohol because I most likely would be an alcoholic if I did. If some of you have wondered why I have not be active on this board, that is why.
I have done several photo shoots with bodybuilders and figure competitors during the last year and I'm currently saving up my money for lighting equipment to set up a small studio in my home. I have submitted some of my work to be considered for wallpaper on this site and hopefully they too will be selected. While I still workout 5x week, the focus is more on maintaining muscle mass and an attempt to get and stay leaner year around.
As always... nuff said...

Unfortunately my guitar playing never was that great... especially compared to my older son (age 24) who is a master with the guitar. My youngest son (age 11) also has excelled in music both playing the piano and the drums.... hmm... perhaps we should form a band!
I promoted a bodybuilding/figure show last April and had plans to use their talents on stage next year but we ended up cancelling the show. I was planning on having LIVE music played for the pose down music with my son(s) and several of his friends. That would have been something different from the norm.

Photographer here, by the way ... have done some professional work in the past. Let me know if you have any questions ... would be happy to help. I'm thinking you could probably teach me a thing or two about BBing.

Great pic Randy! God damn if that isn't a near flawless physique I don't know what is. I got a chance to see the guy you beat out at the Masters Nationals a few days after the show and he looked un-freakin'-believeable....you most definitely earned that victory and deserbed it too.

You might consider joining ModelMayhem.com, which is a free website for models and aspiring models. All you need is four professional-quality photos to join, and you already have that buckets. Offer to do TFP/TFCD, which means you will wave a modeling fee in return for free use of the images. That way you can build a quick portfolio. Photographers will then contact you about work. I know there are some other guys on here who are on MM too. You don't need an agent to use the site.

I will be soon also joining the site as a photographer too but I wanted to wait until I had some better lighting to work with before advertising too much for that.
