Wow that volume is a bit high but hey... if it works for you its all good. Sounds like your form is pretty good. 40lbs in 6 months after undereating sounds like newbie gains. You hit that pose pretty good and have a pretty good gym pump going on. I am interested in seeing how you would look when you fill out that frame. About 50 more lbs should do it. Now the hard part comes
I love your explainations though.

That volume imo is a little more than I'd recommend but volume is generally a good "shotgun" approach to bb'ing. Your avi looks like you're heavier than 180 lbs - good conditioning too for someone making gains like that! Where's this man's journal at?

Tried this kind of workout today. I just don't have the endurance, but that will improve.

Cloudsurfer:
Before considering a routine such as this I have a few questions:
(1) what is your shoulder routine line? A chest routine - particularly with heavy dips and 3 heavy pressing motions - is likely to leave my shoulders screaming. How do you oragnise your split
(2) how long did it take you to adjust to this volume - I mean when did results (either in size or progression) begin to show
(3) have u got the rest of your routine and how frequently do you train bodyparts

The way the body responds and the science behind it including external factors also have alot to do with success, for you to say that me being 6' and 180lbs and point that ...that is not a major point enough to negate new info is irresponsible on your part and it just shows that you like to disagree without reading my posts.
B/c if you would have read them you would se how long i ave been training and you would realize that your comment would not make any sense. But i understand everyone is quick to point out mistakes and take the trainer guru road......

Lol, at him making a comment about your weight. Weight means absolutely nothing. It's about overall physique, structure, how you hold that "weight", etc. You won't see too many naturals with his muscle mass/bf% in all honesty and doing it in such a short time period, especially at that height and weight (if you want to throw that in there).

IDK, the bigger I get the more I start to question the use of steroids for size period. But then again, my conditioning isn't great - so unless I contest prep'd it's all speculation on how much LBMass I'm really holding.
If I were juicing - who knows...?

You really think my chest needs to get bigger? I beg to differ.
you're one of those weird gay guys who goes to the gym 5 days a week and only trains pecs and arms. That's why you think you're some hotshot chest expert.
Your legs make you look like you've been in a wheelchair most of your life.

My is my current split I'm putting extra focus on my arms and calves
mon-chest,,abs and calves
tues-back,triceps,abs and calves
wed-legs,biceps, abs and calves
thurs-shoulders,abs and calves
friday-tricep,biceps,abs and calves
Sun-abs and calves
I just jumped into it I did the regular low volume for a month and I just felt like I was not training right and I think I gain like 2 lbs the 1st month as soon as I switched to high volume in April the gains shot through the roof.
I train right now my arms 2x a week as I am prioritizing on them and my abs and calves everyday I don't use weight on my ab training.

lol why so defensive? I'll give you something to be defensive about..your chest is good at best and you are carrying alot of bodyfat on your body...you have a good structure but don't fool yourself you have alot of work to do. ALOT of work to do....question ....why am I an idiot? If those pics are from 2007 then its all good put some new ones up and shut me up if you do look diff. the I guess I'll let u get away with calling me an idiot.
If not then you have alot of work to do my little aussie friend ;-)

This workout is just ridicilous. I'm going to get flamed, and no I don't care. Yes, you are bigger than me. Yes, you can lift more than me. I'm 25, I own my own business, have 3 dogs and a lot to take care of. How anyone has the time/desire to do this workout is beyond me.
All it is, is lifting heavy as possible with any angle on your chest. There's nothing earth shattering there. This workout, also, if done over time is begging for a major injury. You could have to do an obscene amount of rows to keep your shoulders in tact in 2 years.
40 sets? Are you kidding me? Unless you are pre competetion, there's no need to do this much. It may not HURT, but it certainly won't help. 99.9% of the people in the world don't need to do heavy flat, incline, decline, flyes and dips in the same workout.
How long does it take you to do this? If you rest 90 seconds between sets, that's an hour of rest during your workout. You said you rest no more than two minutes. That's almost an hour and a half of rest during your workout. So, that's what....a 2+ hr workout. Eh, I have better things do to than workout for 2+ hours.
Blah blah blah...what do I know. I'm 5 foot 8 and I weigh 180 lbs. I'm a *gasp* personal trainer, but this is insane. It's like you took a bunch of Flex magazines and Frankenstein'ed everything they say into one workout.
Sure, you're jacked. Congrats. You would kick my ass. Congrats. Are you on gear? Take this workout, cut it in 1/3rd, and almost every (natural) personl on this site would get results good for their goals.
Flame away.
Carry on.

I've been training for well over ten years and know what works and waht doesn't work for me after having literally tried it all.
For me it's going lower on the volume and doing no more than 2 sets for an exercise. But what you do clearly works for you cloud. You have awesome development no denying.

I am interested in knowing if he is on gear too. And hey bro no judging if you are but for those who aren't a routine like this for them won't be optimal.
Now if you are doing this naturally then you have a great genetics and would still recommend others start on the low side of volume until they can work their way up to what you have.
Oh and cloud I think you look a lot like the guy that plays christian on nip/tuck too.

Am I the only one that thinks huge protruding pecs hit a point where they start looking feminine? I'm not knocking anyone, if that's the body you need to build to win competitions more power to you and I understand genetics plays a factor as well. It just seems like lately I am noticing more of a trend pro builders who, when very lean, look... off.. due to having such a huge chest with such a pronounced lower chest.
Again, no disrespect to anyone, just something I've noticed lately and wondered if anyone else has as well.
