Need some help and motivation

I gave birth to my son 2 weeks ago (9Nov08), and I have another 4 weeks before I can really get back into my workouts. I don't want to just sit here on my butt though for another month though. I'm walking as much as possible, breastfeeding, and trying to monitor my calorie intake. Any workout and supplement ideas? I've tried doing light core work, but I'm having problems with bleeding (sorry, tmi) and I do still have stitches down there.

While your body is healing, I would focus on a healthy, unprocessed diet. Activity can come when the bleeding is done. JMO

Congratulations on your baby you survived pregnancy !!

I am a mom and when my son was born I had a TON of stitches and over did it (when I got home)which caused me to actually have to remain in the house even longer and in pain because I could take anything.

I know what its like to feel like to want to be one of those people that just springs back to their pre baby body . Its not worth speeding up Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy or girl!!!

Congrats on your birth

I would be wary of adding any supplements while you are breastfeeding as they can be passed on through the milk. Any change in the taste of milk can cause the baby to refuse it. I know it is hard to rest but while you are still bleeding, I would be taking it quite easy. I applaud you for wanting to get back into it so soon but your body has been through quite an ordeal... let it heal first

It's a beautiful time! Enjoy it. Recovery is just as important as sticking to a diet and exercise plan. You're already doing everything you should. Let your body get back to stasis.
