Body Fortress......vanilla
I buy the body fortress vanilla all the time and i am with nick on this one. I mix it with other stuff and for the price, it is great. I have a shaker and it mixes well. I haven't tried the chocolate but in my opinion it is hard to get better tasting chocolate than met-rx so i just stick with the vanilla with the body fortress brand. I use different flavorings in it and make it a little bit different each time. Btw, I also add a little sweetener to mine too since I drink so much of this stuff.

I use real gains but I when Im broke i use body fortress protein and there creatine. I mixed them both with yogurt or just fruit so I had not problem. The protein I bought from them I believe had some creatine in it.
I start using it because I had lost my job and was low on cash and I figured it could get me through. Its not real gains but its a damn good protein. I have no problem digesting it. Walmart got some decent ****. the six star N.O is ok. body fortress protein and creatine.

Well my fiancee and I just got this from Walmart today. I got the chocolate and she has the vanilla. We paid $12 and some change. I havent tried it yet because Im not working out until Monday. I will post back on the taste. I was using Six Star but ran out so since this is less than Six Star (at Walmart) I decided to try it. How good/bad is the BF Creatine? I saw it at Walmart for around $8.

I agree with Nick on BF products. Not bad quality for the price. Obviously there is better stuff out there but if your'e low on cash or just need some protein to get you through until your next order or whatever. Recently they have added more protein per scoop and came out with a "weight gainer". And yeah the Blender Bottle is by far the best shaker cup out there.

Body Fortress
BTW,
Body Fortress is made by Puritan's Pride/Vitamin World. They've been around forever and make decent products. No, they aren't the best tasting but I've used them for 15 or so years and been happy with the results. There are much better tasting products (EAS, ON, BSN), but for the price and availability, it's a good deal. I've used the creatine as well and it works fine.

I've been using Body Fortress for a while now. I'm not a hardcore bodybuilder, I just use it to maintain my weight and build a little lean muscle. But it's not bad at all. If you buy the $2 shaker along with it, it mixes even with cold water in no time at all. It's best if you don't use a lot of liquid though, the flavor seems to get watered down easily. I don't have the money for more expensive brands, but I have tried them before, and I think that they work better. But hey, if you're in need of some protein, this stuff is cheap and good.

Curious about Body Fortress

Hahaha!
I started getting used to one powder at costco (I Think it was Designer whey) and then they switched on me to another and then another brand (really nasty atrificial garbage) ... It pisses me off. It was like a 5-6 lbtub and initially was about $18.00 then went up to $22.00 then they switched brands ...the price was the same at first but it was raised so fast it's like $30.00 now and I cannot keep up with what brands they carry. I think the one I have now is EAS (and it's not all Whey like the brands costco used to carry) it came in a bag and the ziploc part broke, so I put it in another empty tub. Now I forgot what it was. EAS chocolate has no flavor you can barely tell it's chocolate so I think that's what it is.
I am tired of them raising the prices and I end up paying it because that's where I shop.
Has anyone tried any other BF flavors? I am guessing the have VANILLA which I use more anyway mixing with other stuff. If the chocolate is not that sweet, add splenda unless your bulking. I add Peanut Butter too.
Any input on Body Fortress's Vanilla?

I made a thread a while back stating that their amino acids don't add up to 26g of protein. Apperantly their "recovery blend" is the extra 9g of "protein", even though it contains creatine.

It is terrible, I am wanting to kill myself because I had to switch over from delicious myofusion to this **** because I am broke. I have had it dozens of times, the only way I find it bearable is if I mix the vanilla with Orange juice or blueberry juice, even then, still iffy at best

I'm completely befuddled by those saying the taste is terrible.
I bought a 2lb tub of Chocolate BF Advanced (52g per dbl scoop). When last night, had a glass when I got home, and one this morning. I think it tastes pretty damn good. It also mixed just fine, even with water. It's also really low on calories and carbs, and loaded with BCAAs. And the price is awesome.
Granted, on BF's website, (I can't post links yet), it lists their Advanced Whey Protein as new, so it's possible there was an older, inferior product before, and what's out there now is a revamped, better formula. I know I have no complaints whatsoever.
I wouldn't even really care if the taste was subpar, that just seems whiny- for me the main point is (besides price) whether or not the protein is high quality and going to do my body any good, that's the bottom line. Time will tell. Since I've never had ON brand whey, I can't compare, but OTOH, I also think it's not fair to knock a product if you haven't tried it, and just because it's sold at Wally world.
Somewhere around here there's a thread where someone claimed the same company that makes Body Fortress also makes Muscletech supplements- I'm searching to find that post and get more info on that - whether it's true or BS.

It Can't be that Bad
I just started taking whey protein about two months ago. I read many good things about On Gold Standard. Since taking it I have made very noticeable gains, and lost body fat...something I wasn't expecting.
I make one shake a day, which is two scoops in a shaker. I have it as I'm leaving the gym in the morning. I'm just about out of Gold Standard so I went to GNC yesterday to buy another 2 pound container. The price went up from about $25- to $32. That just seems way too expensive! I think there must be a huge margin on this stuff. I saw that Amazon has the 5 pound container of Gold Standard for $39-, so I ordered it. It won't be here on time, so I bought the Body Fortress brand at Walmart for under $12-.
My plan is to use the Body Fortress to hold me over if I run out of ON, or maybe a second drink in the late afternoon. I won't buy my whey at GNC again as they are very overpriced! Having the Body Fortress will be good when I don't plan well and run out while waiting for my Amazon shipment. Another good thing about Amazon, free shipping and no tax!

2 scoops of cookies and cream flavor, 8 ounces of milk, match the milk with ice, 1 banana = 1 darn good protine shake. I make that after every workout, then I sell protine shakes to my mates for 2$ each.

Muscle Gauge Whey Blend - $30/5lb = $6/lb (same as BF) - 10% = $27/5lb = $5.40/lb
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/mgn/premiumblend.html
22 protein per 104 calories. 80 servings per container.
No creatine added, much better taste, and the amino's add up correctly.
There is no excuse to buy body fortress unless you cannot plan out an order 3 days in advance of running out of protein.
There are even cheaper Whey's out there... but MGN is good stuff for that price.
Or you could buy XF Whey for $44 - 10% ~ $40/5lb = $8lb for insanely good tasting protein.

The chocolate flavor mixes very well with a spoon in skim milk. None of those clumps you get with other whey proteins.
