stuff works great. I just used it myself for my last show. the high definition foam.
what I did was used a bottle of protan as a base, 5 thick coats. then used 1 bottle of the jantana, 4 thick coats. alot of people were saying I was borderline to dark. I know my pics dont really show that but trust me I was really dark. the lighting at that show is more lighting then I have seen at any show.
just make sure u exfoliate really good. my back peeled a bit and tan looked like crap on my back at the morning show. had to do touch up on it. Also if you got the package be sure to barely use any of the jantan glaze posing gel. Its easy to go overboard on it. put it on semi heavy then use a towel and pat it off, worked great for me at the night show.
I know the kit comes with 2 bottles. so if you have tow bottles just dont use protan and go through the two whole bottles. I bet your color will be really good.

Sorry, not a big fan of Jan Tana products. I do know a lot of people who love it and hate Pro Tan...but I'm a Pro Tan girl. Just be careful that you don't appear 'green.'

I've tried it and don't like it. I prefer lots and lots of pro tan and that's what I recommend to my clients. The Jan Tana looks too orange to me.

Jan tana foam is the only thing i will ever use. 3 coats the night before and 1 the morning of is all it takes to get me stage dark.
Could never get dark enough with protan and it always turned me green.

I think we all have different results with different products. It's funny how we stand by one thing. Just see what works best for you and go with it. It might even take 1 or 2 shows to figure it out.

It also depends on the type of Jana Tana you're using. I believe there's a creme as well as the foam. I've seem them both have different colors.

Hi there, thats strange I have never really heard Pro Tan turning people green. On occasion ones skin tone, and or high PH level will make a tanned person appear to have a green hue. We dont use any green dyes in our products like some of cometitiors. We rely on the self tanners in the product to get you nice and dark. Many of our competitors rely on the "make up" concept to get you dark. Meaning adding a layer of color on top of your skin. We have noticed that this has a much higher conversion to green since it is simply a "make up" type product and not a self tanner.
Our competition does make a good product but we seem to have better luck in tanning a larger majority of people with fewer people being off color and or green.
If you would like to try us again I would be happy to give you some tips to help you lower you PH so that our color looks perfect on you as well. We appreciate you giving us a shot and letting people know how you feel about our produtucts. We take it very seriously when our product does not meet ones expectations. Please PM with details if you wouldnt mind...
Thanks

Quick questions for you. What about using deodorant with Pro Tan? Last time I used deodorant it turned my under arms green. Also, washing between coats. Is it ok to use soap? I've heard that soaps and lotions can also make you turn green while using Pro Tan. Thanks for your help in advance.

I have used both Pro Tan and Jan Tana. I used protan for my first show and like the color but it took to long to put on. I went with 4 coats of Jan Tana Show Tan and 1 coat of Competition Tan the day of my show last weekend and I had great color. My avatar shows the color. I didnt use the foam but the creme was the Competition tan. I just used round makeup pads to put it on and it was great.

I'll take dream tan over these any day. If you do it right, nothing else even gets in the same ballpark

Deoderants alter the Ph of you skin and can react with any self tanning product. It's best to play it safe and not use any if you can. Typically you do not want to lather up with a soap after you have appled the Pro Tan Competition Color. I would only rinse with cool water once it's applied.
The additives in cosmetics and lotion often times can react with tanning product. So its wise to play it safe.
If you need any more info please PM me.

The sheen is good but only use a drop or two per body part. Better to put less then more on.

What's the deal with bb.com not being able to ship jan tana to canada anyways? I'll be using the Pro tan for my upcoming show, never tried dream tan.

For my first show i used 5 coats of pro tan and 1 coat of dream tan the morning of the show and touched it up before night show. Looked great but for the last show I added a coat of pro tan and still used the dream tan over it. LOVED this color but I think I need a bit darker of a face make up. Any suggestions would be appreciated here. I also applied the pro tan with a shammy like sponge and application was a lot faster this time.

That dream tan is some incredible stuff,..As a bodybuilder, I personally wouldnt use it but for a figure model I think it is the perfect application. Never tried Pro Tan but Jan Tana for the body is incredible as well and from the reading in here seems to apply a bit easier. As for the face, I havnt been able to put on the perfect application. Maybe next show I figure something out
