hows syntha 6 flavors and nutritional value over other wheys? i just get some kinda cheap protein from the grocery store right now and it tastes great. is the time release of stuff from syntha 6 really worth the extra cash?

Syntha-6 tastes great, and is a versatile protein that you can use as a meal replacement as well. Blends > whey in my opinion, it's worth the extra cash in my opinion.

I've been using ON BCAA 2222 (Liquid) since I've ran out of Pro Complex. I take 12 table spoons worth (66g protein, 360 calories), and it's the purest form of protein. I'm enjoying it.

I must say this thread is the equivalent of asking "best energy drink for energy?" any protein is gonna do what it does and that's build muscle.

I wouldn't get both casein and syntha 6 since they are both slow digestion or slow release. I'd get one or the other. I personally use both ON whey and there casein.

no, i think he meant that "muscle building" is implicit.
IMO it isnt the whole purpose of powder - taste, cost, other factors come into play. not all shakes are for the purpose of building.

You're fine with ON Casein before bed, as I take that as well. I was using Syntha-6 before bed before but decided to change over to ON Casein before bed. I like ON Casein nutrition wise as well because of it's low fat and carbs.
I'm currently on a High Fat/Low Carb/High Protein diet Mon-Fri, High Carb/Low Fat/High Protein on Sat and High Fat/High Carb/High Protein on Sun so I need an in between meal protein that I can take everyday without worrying about Carbs and Fat.
I am thinking about using ON Pro Complex for my diet pref during the day.

over the years i've drank various energy drinks just for something to drink. and they all do the same thing, give you a slight energy buzz for a bit and that's all. never in my life have i drank an energy drink and been like oh my god! this blows monster, rockstar, redbull and sobe, out the water!"

and yeah that's pretty much what i meant. carbs and fat provide energy, and protein rebuilds damaged muscle fibers (builds muscle). And in order to draw a decent conclusion. one would have to track a lifting log and body measurements with the exact same protein powder for atleast 3 months straight before switching to another to compare. Now if they wanted to start a "Best protein for your buck?" thread then that would be far easier to guage. with what millane said. cost, serving size, and taste all being easily compared. but with so many factors in the muscle building process it is quite ridiculous to say Syntha 6 builds more muscle than Muscle Milk or vise versa
